Jeepers, Rusty girl, you must have just about had enough of it. What a bu**er.
Fabby news about Alicia, craftygranny. Sending huge virtual hugs from all her internet aunties and not forgetting Carly and Miss Princess Diva:whistle: Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
Sounds as though people have on the whole had nice weekends enjoying the sunshine. We've had a lovely time up in Yorkshire at my brothers. Went to Boundary Mill on Saturday morning on the way. Oh dear is all I can say. I had to send DH to the cafe with the children as I didn't want him near the tills when I paid. I will put photos on my blog later of the stash I bought but it included not one but two paper stacks. One was very frivolous as it was £19.99 but I loved it The Sweet stack by DCWV and the other was Penny Lane My Minds Eye at £12.99 which I thought was a very good price. I also bought an xcut paper trimmer, stickers etc.
In the afternoon we went to Brimham rocks for 4 hours and had a great time clambering about. DD has no fear and was up the rocks in minutes and demanding to be lifted up if she couldn't do it herself. Becasue she is so little though she couldn't get down very easily so tended to slide down the rocks. As it is granite rocks it is rather abrasive and she managed to completely wear out the seat of her leggings, thankfully her knickers stayed intact.
Sunday we had another superb day out at Fountains Abbey which was lovely. Next time we go up we want to do Bolton Abbey and go to Hawes.
Anyway back to things crafting. I did a Tinkerbell card for a friends daughter and had my first play with Promarkers (I am now officially in love) so will have to do some research and decide which other ones to order. I will blog that card later as well. I have also had my first go at an easel card and was rather pleased with the result. Can't post it until tomorrow though as they are wending their way to certain people.
My MS Scoring Board has just arrived at exactly the same time as DH popped in for lunch, typical.
Marg - List was waiting for me when we got home, you are such a star thank you.wishfulcomper wrote: »Hopefully you will be able to see them here
Wonderful cards, I too am not on facebook but was really pleased to be able to see them. The Narnia Ice Queen type one, is that a stamp of the lady or decoupage? The next time we go down to Plymouth we are going to Antony House its just over the Tamar bridge and where they filmed some of Alice in Wonderland, they have created special gardens for this year.
It was only when I saw your link that I realised we went there years ago, it was fantastic but I hadn't realised that was where they filmeed Alice.craftygranny wrote: »Just a quick update . Alicia's treatment is finished and she is now on the plane home. She should be home around lunchtime tomorrow. We won't get to see her until late as Carly goes for her implants tweaking again tomorrow. Everything happens at once here.
That really is wonderful news and such a special birthday present.
Rusty - Glad you found the stamps, it is so frustrating when you can't find something. Hope everything goes ok this afternoon, thinking of you. If you don't mind me asking what is BIH. Well done on the invites as well.
Nici - Happy Birthday
Rainmac - Hope DS's ear is better it's not fair when they are poorly in their holidays.
Right off to do some housework as the house is groaning with having had the children off school for two weeks. As much as I love them it was nice to get them back in uniform yesterday!

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my card they really cheered me up as feeling a bit down at the moment fed up with not being able to do anything without being in pain have been to the docs this morning and she has signed me off work for 2 weeks so at least thats one less thing to worry about, can't wait for the kids to go back to school as they are driving me mad being home.0 -

Haven't blog hopped yet but been and looked at your card and it is gorgeous. It really is a keepsake type of card. Sorry I missed that you weren't well and hope you are feeling better soon. Do you children go back the end of this week or have you got a full week to go?
