Bunbun Congrats on your boys' award... your secret is safe with us... :silenced: I bet you're dead proud...
Babyfreckles Welcome..:) Old paper and pumice stone are quite nice in the distressed inks, a lot depends on what shades of paper or images you are mainly going to use.. Tea die is nice too, they are mainly on the brown ish theme.
Equally, just to confuse matters, I think Lake Mist by Adirondack is very subtle and useful.
Cg Well done on your weight loss, it can be expensive all this dieting lark.. especially if you yo yo like me
Lei Can't help you re charging I'm afraid, I am rather rubbish when it comes to things like that..
Marg It must be very frustrating for you having to cope with your mil, thank heaven for our crafting.. :D

Evening all - am back from the land of the snow!
Have just speed read 9 pages and can't remember anything other than well done to your boys Bunbun and if you look on my blog near the bottom on the right there are a load of challenges listed rusty

Took ages to get back today as we went from East Kilbride to Glenrothes and then back down here - waved at everyone from the A1 as we passed the various junctions OH thinks I'm even more bonkers than usual :rotfl:.

Had a great time especially visiting DSD at the stables she and her OH run although horses are far too big and scarey DD had her first ever ride and wants to go up and stay in the summer holidays (didn't go down well with her cousin as she wasn't invited oops) will post some pics tomorrow of German shepherd puppies and lamb that she has in her kitchen .

Need to get on with some serious crafting this week as have withdrawal symptoms but at least I don't have to go to work everyday now that end of year is over :D Am really looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight though ;)
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Yep me to I love doing these ribbon challenges have you done one before?

Nope not done one before, I sent back the love ribbons to them as I was running out of time to do anything with them and felt guilty that I had let them down!

Hassy & Marg - Never thought to have a look in the charity shops, thinking about it I reckon a pillowcase could just work out fine, will have to check in town over the next couple of days!

Bunbun - Well done to both boys!! That is such fab news!! :j

Lei - Thanks, I thought about buying a beer and pump stamp, but I had forgotten that it also had a cheers sentiment on it!! Will have to have a look around on the net see if I can find something!

Flourgirl - Thanks for the link!

CGCK - Thanks, but no boyes near here, think there is one up teeside way (I think this trip up that way is definately needed.... Now just need to see if bunbun is up for a day trip! lol Can't wait to see pics of the before and after!

Craftygranny - I think other people have snapped them all up!! I left 2 MS punches on the shelf, but now not sure if I just bought mine for the sake of buying as not sure if I will actually use it or not!

    Snipped!
I've had a lovely start to my day - not only is the sun shining, but I've just got another nice shiny blinky for my sidebar - I came in the top 5 over at Crafty Cardmakers. Hope the weathers being kind to all of you.

PONR - gorgeous flowers, I think I might have a try of these.

It must be the weekend for making flowers as that's what I've been doing (will post some piccies on my blog later). I've been playing with organza and candles to make mine ( see this tutorial by SJ at Little Musings). I've also been looking at dabbling with some of the tutorials here. The only reason I decided to make flowers was that I went to buy some and at the price (six for £4.50)

Lovely, I will be working my way through that flower website abit later!!!!!!

TomsMom - regarding the flowers, I think you could use them on cards if you made a box instead of an envelope for the card. I think on the tutorial she meant they won't fit into a normal envelope. Hope so anyhow!!!! I am going to see if I can make some smaller ones tonight as well!
What a lovely card for your friends Ruby Wedding.
bunbun2 - well done to your boys. I bet they will be really chuffed to bits.
Rusty - try ebay for scraps of fabric.

Marg Thankyou for the link. I have become a follower of her blog and guess what...... she does classes quite close to where I live :j OMG I don't know if I dare go to one, SU stuff is quite expensive and I know I would want it all !!!! I'm hoping the small circle nestie will be the right size for making the holes for the little cups.

Flourgirl lucky you living so close to Monica, I've been in her virtual hostess clubs for a couple of years now, she such a lovely person. SU, I agree is expensive but just be very choosy in what you purchase from them. I'd love to attend one of her classes.

    Welcome back Padster :)

    Gorgeous flowers PONR :j

Lei, I ordered the Princess Tilda stamp from Crafts U Love (preorder) as it's free p&p over the bank holiday x

Flourgirl, funny you should mention a DT as I've applied for one today :o:o:o. It's open worldwide so I don't expect to come anywhere but you have to be in it to win it and all that ;)

Arghhh, can't remember what else I've read :o. Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my cards I posted today. If any regular posters would like any kitty cats or Tildas stamped please PM me with your address and I'll pop a few in the post x
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain
  • Ok I have been trying to make smaller flowers, much more fiddly!!!!

    th_DSC01768.jpg

I have placed a dime alongside so that you can get an idea of size (didn't have any English money in my purse lol!!)

    I used a 1 1/2 inch scallop, 2 x 1 inch flowers and 1 very small flower - mini punch.

I prefer the bigger one as the detail is nicer than in the small ones!!

Mmm the classes are a reasonable price and it includes all materials, its just what I would spend on top lol.. See how I get on with the sweet treat cups.
