Yes it is called decoupage, you will need card blanks or you could score your own, a craft knife, some double sided tape, some sticky 3d squares to make the decoupage ... Er ...3d lol and then any patterned papers you like. If you then want to embellish them then obviously you will need these swell

Thanks gem, I have used5 rolls of dst in a month! That's not including the 2 rolls I gave to bunbun! I only have a few cc card blanks left! ... I have anitas but these are not as good a quality!

I dont mind the anitas card blanks when I'm making basic cards, the main problem I have is the envelopes that come with them are almost see through! so if I've used a dark colour on the card you can see it through the envelope :rotfl:

I work on the basis that most people throw the envelope straight in the bin - have been known to use some from Asda smart price xmas cards which only cost 10p for 20 in the sale - squeeeeeeeeeeeeek :rotfl::rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Looked at new spellbinders but I just see more of the same styles but with rounder edges? Is it just me?

Soma if you don't use them why not sell them?

I do use them every now and then - I just don't use them as much as I should. They are good for matting and layering which I hate!

I've just used http://www.myonecuteblog.com/ instead of cutest blog for my background.

forgot to say that any glue, white/cream card and card blanks are excluded from usual craft stash diets as they are essentials

Thanks for the link to a challenge Marg – I’ve just blogged and entered my boxes.

Sorry to hear about your Step Great Nan Jowri.

Melissa – hope the funeral goes well on Friday. Absolutely gorgeous baby boy card on your blog Melissa.

Thanks for the link to the free apple digi Rainmac, I’ve saved it for next year! Hope you enjoy Toy Story, I really want to go too, but my mum is having the kids for a couple of days over the summer, and she has promised to take the boys whilst I am working :(.

Sorry your OH is feeling down – hope things pick up for him soon – hugs x

Congratulations of becoming a Granny again – you’ll have to join in the stash ban, and save all your pennies for a trip to NZ.

    Irlrip welcome to the thread.

Craftygranny – you have a fab OH who goes and buys you some stash because he knows you want it. If my OH went out to a shop it would be Poundland, and he would bring me home the rolls of DST, because it is useful :rotfl:

Having problems to with my blog background, so need to sort out a new one. Really don’t like any of the new templates on blogger.:(. Excuse the one that is on it for now, it is temporary.

Rusty - fingers cross for your OHs bike test tomorrow.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

forgot to say I'm with you on the scalloped card blanks Rusty - they just don't look right with the fold at the side and the scallops take up too much space :D

DD is at school disco tonight so am going to craft once she's had her tea :)

I think you need a certain posh lovely card style to pass for the scallop cards ... Rainmac, flourgirl, Melissa and some others can get away with it but I just can't! .....

Mind you following your other comment I got some smart price 4x4 cards after Christmas for 2p and there was 10 in a pack, I used then to cover and make other cards lol .... Think I will squeak with you!

Gemm, I love the antis cards, they are a nice price aswell but just find them a bit flimsy sometimes! ... Not had that problem but can imagine it, I find that the antas envelopes aren't very wide so pretty 3d flowers like the roses just fight to get them in!

Didn't go back to my crafting today got so annoyed with it but I have to get the 2nd card finished tomorrow ready for OH hopefully he will pass his test! ..... Have done my wii fit, or wii fat as I call it, managed 196 calories lost tonight which is good ... 3 times this week it keeps saying it is suprised to see me so often .... Not as surprised as I am lol

Soooooo stash ban ... If your OH buys things for you is that not included ;) lol just curious, lucky lady crafty granny!

Fabbie gifts on your blog - can I ask where you got the instructions for for for the envelopes please, and were they hard or fiddly to make? They are really lovely.

    Evening ladies.. :)

It's thundering out there at the moment, we actually saw the sun for a short time today.. and I have had my first red cherry tomato.. :j

Jowri Sorry to read about your step nan.. hugs to all..
    Hello Irlrip and Quicksave :)

Oap Congratulations on your news, it is a shame they are so far away..

Craftygranny I'm glad your furniture has arrived.. I bet you've forgotten what it looks like!! What a thoughtful oh you have.. :)

Melissa Hope everything goes well for you on Friday.. hugs to you all.. :)

I am glad we all came to the same conclusion and decided that paper, envelopes and card etc wasn't counted in the stash spend ban cos I bought four packets of glossy inkjet paper today from Asda, it is 30 sheets and they were in a sale for 48p... I thought that was a bargain.. don't know what it will be like, but even if I stamp on it and use inks it should be ok?
Self imposed crafty stash ban: started again 22/8/10 1 whole month stash free!
I must not buy stash, I must not buy stash, I must not buy stash! :o
