Hi everyone!
I've been back at work this week so
I've been back in my black trousers. Yes I know - the shame, I'm so sorry! I was trying so hard as well but I've been in the workshop so need something thats practical!
And today I broke my necklace too as I was taking it off keep it out of the way of the drilling machine.
But tomorrow I have no practical lessons - so I am going to attempt to wear a skirt to school for the first time EVER... I don't want to go too mad so I'm thinking of wearing a black skirt with pink dots on, with black tights, and a thin black jumper - I'll post a picture later if I remember. I know it's not as lovely as what some of you all wear for work but I can't go too mad, the kids will take the piddle and ask me what I'm all dressed up for!
Hugs to all those who need them xxxThs signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...

Are you a craft teacher?
I would have thought it could be a cool project for teens to learn about the economics of a good basic capsule wardrobe....the Style mag in the sunday times used to have (probably still does) a thing on working key pieces in combination ....:D:D
gradual changes will be least niticed, a little bit smarter week by week, and dressy for school events....0 -
Silaqui- good luck with wearing the skirt

Oh so tired,
Mum has used my brother's duvet to pad out my bed a bit, so I'll be sleeping on mattress, memory foam and duvet with my duvet over me.
Fingers crossed that'll keep me comfier, and mean I get more sleep. So fed up of barely functioning
Quiet day tomorrow, so might be more chatty on here.0 -

Oh poo. Dylan's got nits, just sent DH off to Boots to get some stuff. All plans are now on hold until we're all debugged, oh the shame.
More experienced mums - what do I do? Tell anyone we've been in contact with? Ahhhhh why today?
Aww bless its a right of passage as all kids get them at some point! lol Jas not had them...yet but has been treated when one of the boys got them, I remember having them once when I was young ick!
Full Marks lotion is really good (pricey but you only need a little bit and it doesn't smell horrid)
It will only kill the live lice the nits (eggs) will have to come off via a it comb...use lots of conditioner, and go through his hair.
Unfortunately you and DH will have to be treated too.
ETa I am now itchy and scratchylol

Hi Lost, yeah I teach Design and Technology, Graphic Design mainly but I also have to teach alot of practical lessons in the workshops - I've managed to tear trousers before in there so I don't think tights would hold up too well!
My usual look is black or grey trousers, and a decent top of some variety...
I would have loved to have learnt about that at school! Hehe style lessons, fab - some of you guys could teach that no problem! :T
Shame about the nits - I never had them as a kid (probably too mucky...:o) but my sister used to get them every other week so I had to sit through the combing anyway!

I don't know if the comb's not working but the nits are justpassing through it. I've had to (gag) use my fingernails (gag again) I think I got them all. Only found two wriggly beasties but about 20 odd nits. Collected them on a bit of tissue to check. eeehhhhh. I've been itching all evening, but all over, even my feet itch. I feel so skanky.0 -
Oooh I loved CDT,I was the only girl in my class as I chose CAD, woodwork and metal. The girls all did sewing and cooking. I really should have picked the girly things as it would have been easier but my hormones won out!0
