Morning, lovelies!
Despite the terribly heavy rain last night it's fab here today. I took my pal to the car boot sale as an birthday treat and we've been sitting in her garden drinking coffee in the sunshine. Despite the mud I managed to snaffle a few interesting bits for the sum total of £5.
I'm wearing:
Vintage green maxi dress with floral pattern (eBay)
Cowboy boots (Car boot)
Indian silver bangles, rings and hoop earrings
Vintage brown skinny-fit shirt style jacket (Charity shop)
Furla leather satchel bag
Got a couple of hours to eat, play with cats and generally mess around before this afternoon's jumble sale. I do hope those lovely ladies have saved me some goodies.
Alex - How exciting about the meet-up! Helga and I are planning a trip in the near future, I'm excited already.0 -

That's much more exotic than a trip to Kendal :rotfl: Haha, if it goes well and I lose some of my shyness, I'm definitely going to chivvy you all into a meet up!0 -
Morning ladies!
I've haven't really been abe to keep up with the goss the last couple of days as our internet at work has been so unbelievably slow it might as well have been on dial up!
There's definitely lots of colds around at the moment - I had a horrible one last week, and still got a bit of a cough now. Hot toddies all around are needed I think!
All you crafty people, have you ever tried making your own beads, etc with Fimo? I bought some to make buttons (I love buttons, I'm forever changing them on coats, or using them as trimmings) becuase I could never find exactly what I wanted or if I could, they were ridiculous prices.
Going to use my day off today to do a little bit of sorting out and maybe a little chazza shopping. I'm slopping round in white vest and 3/4 length harem pants (£3 in M&S sale) - not sure if these suit me, all that extra material down there feels a bit odd!0 -
JJ, I've always wanted to experiment with making my own beads but I don't have much talent with that kind of craft!0

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to have a bit of a declutter at the moment but i'm really hopeless at getting rid of stuff even (maybe even especially) if i'll never wear/use it again. It's stuff at my dad's house and i've not really worn 90% of it since i left for uni 4 years ago.
I've been spending the morning making a start on clearing out my mum's stuff. We lost her to cancer just over a year ago. A lot of her things we've just left as they were until now but today i have cleared the makeup drawer and most of the scarves/belts.
There's far too much stuff for me to keep (guess where my hoarding instincts come from...) but i feel bad getting rid of it.
I found some nice silk scarves which i will keep a couple of but does anyone want one? I will try get a picture up but the bluetooth thingy is being a bit crap
I also found a huge bag of moisturisor/anti ageing samples if anyone wants them... If they work then everyone here can be about 16 again with the amount i found!0
