Re Accessorize- i love their stuff and have been lucky to have no problems with them.
You are very lucky! I even find stuff on display thats quite significantly damaged, being sold full price! I bought two thingies the same, to turn into earrings... and I went through about a dozen and a half to find the only two that were undamaged...
I love Monsoon and accessorize too, I never fail to see something I want, and I'm an evening dress wearing, colourful, sparkly person... but ...the risk of wearing the same as someone else increases all the time, and the quality issues really are a gripe0 -
Well, I'm dressed.
Grey patterned dress (varying shades of grey) that looks more like a sack than a dress: H&M
Teal tights: Ethel Austin
Grey chunky knit cardi: Matalan
Grey "suede" studded flats: Ethel Austin.
And no makeup...eek!0 -
Alex, I was speaking to a friend the other day and we both said the same thing. We think our bad moods are not PMT (lol) but the severe lack of warmth and sun for this time of year. We're used to an early spring but it's come so late this year, that all our bodies are out of sync too. Anyway that's our theory:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0

well, whoever it was that asked for a blog post about some of my trinkety "junk" lol, consider your thirst quenched! lol
so far this morning, i haver uploaded all today's drawings, set up two meetings, and designed / arranged a badge designing competition for this event0 -
Alex, plan something lovely to look forward to at the weekend??
jtb, i wouldn't mind so much, but i have only just taken on this unit, (well, in sept), and so didn't know anyone..so i felt kinda bad when i was asking loads of questiosn / trying to push to get decisions made..
from this sept, it looks like my friend needs an assistant leader for her unit (my old guides unit), so looks like i'll have twice the organising, as i'll be in two different divisions lol..0 -
Had a really good night last night and got complimented on my outfit. It was probably a little too sparkly for the pub we were in but I haven't had a lot of chance to dress up recently.
Having a bad day today so it's going to be very lazy. I might order some books for my new course that starts in october. Is that a bit too geek?
Looking at booking a holiday at the weekend so my spending will have to be very controlled.0 -
Tsabo- not too geeky at all!
sorry your having a bad day0 -
PF, there's nothing wrong with making your mark ! We're the new generation of guiders and I think the 'older' guiders forget that sometimes (well, they do down here !)
I've rattled a few cages in the 2 years I've been doing it but only because I've been thinking of the Guides and what's best for them. Unfortunately some of the leaders are more concerned with their own wants and needs and I feel they forget the reason for Guiding altogether sometimes !
Sorry, didn't mean to rant there lol
Back to fashion chat heheeh ............ how many of you own a summer 'mac'? I've been wondering if I need one? I have my raincoat but it's hardly the height of fashion !:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -

I'm going for film and dinner with an old friend on Friday (not a date, definitely not a date), then vegging around on Sat and then being brave and going to somewhere lovely in the Lakes for a day out on Sunday and meeting some people from another forum I post on. No idea what any of them look like so it should be interesting trying to work out who they are :rotfl:0
