That's a good idea Alex, I'll have a look and see what the library has to offer next time I am there! It's probably one of the most annoying things about this illness
I'm such a bookworm and it makes me sad I cant read like I used to.
It also doesn't help my issues with getting course work done, although I did get some research done earlier so I'm less blahhhh panic about it today0 -
Marian Keyes's Under The Duvet and Further Under the Duvet are both good and should be in the library. There are quite a lot of charity collections of short stories knocking about as well - I'll have a rummage in the bookcases later and see if I can think of anything else.
How are you with audiobooks?0 -
Thanks Alex
I'm rubbish with audiobooks, I just cant get in to them in the same way as I can with reading and I tend to zone out in to a world of my own lol.0 -
I think I'm back with it!
I love reading - I'm a huge Patricia Cornwell and Kathy Reichs fan but I think I've almost read all of them now. I need to get a stash of reading for holiday in May, not that I'll be able to do much lounging round the pool and reading this time!
DB - I love the dress too, it's amazing.
Hello to all the new people!
I've been to Basildon (has a bit of a reputation for being rough) I didn't get mugged or witness and fights but I did hear a Dad call his son a little sh1tbag:eek: and he was only about 3 years old. Unfortunatly this is where the nearest Primark is and also a Topshop discount store which sells a lot of sale things, I bought a pair of ruby red wedges that were £60 for £10. I'll update my blog this evening with the pics! I also got a set of about 10 bangles, in mixed golds, creams and wood for £1 (was £15) and a turquoise and silver necklace for £2.
In Primark it was quite disappointing but I stocked up on coloured tghts (grey, burgundy and something else I can't remember) a belt, a long sleeved navy top and a nude pink vest with frilly bit at the front. All basics really but will cheaply update my existing wardrobe.
Then I had a PCT meeting about breastfeeding which was really productive.
DH is off today so he's been having fun with Dylan.
Hope you are all having a lovely day

I'd second the Under The Duvet ones.. they are great to dip in and out of! Actually I have one of them in my charity pile, I'd be happy to send it to you if you fancy it?
Right blog update done.. housework calling despite my best attempts to ignore it.0 -
Vicki, loads of those swearing parents around here, makes me so sad
Topshop discount store sounds like heaven!0 -

Have you been to the Lakeside Primark? I prefer this to my local Primark as it is more spacious and the stock is better. I didn't know about the Topshop discount store in Basildon - may have to take a trip there one day.0 -

Hi Freda,
I love the Lakeside Primark but I had a MS to do in Basildon;)
Are you an Essex girl too?0
