Magpye- I mooched round the CS in town today too, one had a sale rail, and still wanted £7 for a Primark dress!0

I didn't really like it either lola... like to you say too americanised. Can You Keep A Secret is my favourite, I've read it so many times but I still laugh out loud everytime.
I've just had a bit of an earbashing for calling someone arrogant but they asked for peoples opinion on new phones and then said thats sh*t to everything and insulted them for having said phones. Am I out of line?0 -
Ah, the advantages of living in a scummy area!
£50 for a Per Una dress? I've just spend £25 on four bin bags stuffed full of clothing.
Lola - Sounds like you did Nana proud!0 -
Oh I missed all the book chat. Booooo
I am going to strongly recommend Georgette Heyer and Eva Ibbotson as two of my all time favourite authors. Can't really be doing with most chick lit because (sweeping generalisation here) it tends to be so utterly formulaic and badly written. Crime fans - have you tried Lisa Gardner? I love her books.
lola - I'm glad it went as well as possible0 -
£50 for Per Una - they must be joking, but as I've been to a few jumbles lately I turned my nose up at some charity shop prices this morning.0

I'm loving the book tips! I ordered My Mother's Wedding Dress from Amazon after your recommedation, Alex. It's on it's way. I read at least 2 books a week and on holiday I average 1 a day if I'm beaching it.0 -
Giddy- if they asked for your opinion and that was your opinion then I don't see a problem with it but thats me, we're all entitled to our opinions;)

You'll get thereWould books of short stories or collections of short pieces help? Might be easier to dip in and out of than a whole book if you're struggling with that at the moment.
