Marzipan, I have black leggings from Tesco that seem to be the best I've had, I'm forever pulling the other ones up think its because they are quite low, the tesco ones are a bigger size so they are pulled up a la Bridget Jones:D

Vicki - I hate to hear parents shouting at thier children, why take them shopping if thats how it ends up, when mine were little and even now I have toys / lego/cars etc in my bag to keep them occupied if we're out, but shopping wise I tend not to take them anyway as they're not into it unless its a toyshop
  • I'm a 12 at the moment. Might just get some £3 primark ones to wear until i'm at the size i want to be at & then go looking for some nicer ones. The old ones got a hole in along the seam on the calf and are a bit baggy on the knees. ok with long boots though.

I'll look in tesco next time i'm there though, probably next time i go stay with my dad because there's an enormous tesco not too far away.

Mariel, you had to mention Etsy! I was on there to look for some Alice-inspired jewellery since Marzipan was looking for some, and found a dress I had forgotten I favourited.

And the Curiouser and Curiouser necklace I was thinking of seems to be gone; I still think Untamed Menagerie's shop is worth looking at though. Love the Carpe Noctem brooch. ;)

I'm almost afraid to ask this, considering how many of you favour ICs, but how much do you guys usually spend on shoes?

I so agree, I hate it when you see a child upset in the supermarket etc and the parent is either shouting at them or bribing them with sweets or presents to shut them Up. That said, I'm sure my opinions will change when that actually happens to me as so many things in life are easy to judge when you have no experience of them..
I followed my mums influence and read a lot of sci fi and fantasy when I was growing up too magpye. And apt of Stephen king until I got bored of them I suppose..my current love Of chick lit mush is now just down to laziness!

retro, I don't really read chick lit or suspense, which puts me out of most conversations... I like Stephen King too, but prefer hard sci-fi, decent fantasy, humour and modern lit fic.

Have you read his fantasy collection The Dark Towers Ive heard its quite good.

  • Just wondering... has anyone here tried the body shop's cheek & lip stain? I tried benetint in the shop a while ago and liked but it just seems too expensive.

I've read some of them retro... not the first few, I kind of read them the wrong way round (picked the books up from the communal library when I was abroad getting married) and haven't managed to acquire them yet. They are a very interesting read actually, tying together lots of elements. Very much like a lot of Clive Barker's stuff, the elements of a deeper mythology are there but not always pursued (the mythology geek in me gets very disappointed when this happens.) I love Neil Gaiman's novels too.

What do we all think of this ring? Still on Etsy, gah. That site is such a time sink. :rotfl:
