retro, I need you to come and help me clean out my house! I'm an emotional hoarder, although much less so since my dear departed cat Rocco broke a large number of items of sentimental value...
Re: Post Office, I have been known to walk the 1.8 miles uphill to the other PO in town (it's 1.3 miles to the main PO) just because I know it will be quieter and I don't have to contend with the corner shop which shares a building with the PO. dunno who thought that would be a good idea.
Today was an utter waste of time - it wasn't even a proper interview. It only took about fifteen minutes if you're lucky and the owner of the business even said that he didn't really know what the job entailed as he is out of the office a lot. Then waited forty-five minutes for a bus (meant to be every half hour) in a freezing gale. Got a couple of bits at New Look, met my DH who was on his break, walked a mile to get something to eat at McDonald's since all the central cafes are so expensive and he's not allowed in anywhere licensed in his uniform, walked back, looked in the Dotty P's (rubbish) and then got the bus back, got some food in Morrisons and walked back home.
On the plus side I have discovered that the split-toe pumps are very comfortable for trekking around in. :rotfl:"All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.0 -
