Alex, I took about thirty things into the New Look changing room (the poor assistant!) and bought three. A grey butterfly print studded t-shirt, a black and white spotted bow-back tunic, and a dragon-print halter maxi dress. All different sizes! Didn't get a chance to look at shoes or jewellery, so might have to take a little trip back across soon...

Oooh they sound lovely, especially the maxi dress :) Hope we get to see them soon.

Will someone please shout at me until I stop wanting to go shopping on the way home? :o

I remember that minty clay stuff ! I'm ashamed to say I'm too scared to go to a dentist :o as when I was little, all my dentist did was pull out my teeth, hence my 'gappiness' now :(. I'm petrified of them.

I haven't had any problems with my teeth since then but I know the time will come when I have to book an appointment :(.

Right, I've sorted my outfit for tonight (pic on my blog).

I've had to scrap the coloured tights as they clashed with my top (you'll see why). I've opted for:

New floral skirt (New Look via Ebay)
    Primark basics peach t-shirt
    Black opaque tights
    Black boyfriend cardi
    Black bowtie shoes (peacocks)
Peach, purple and clear beaded necklace

    I've been Money Tipped!
    1. i really wanted a brace. I spent a lot of time in the US as a kid, I thought I'd have perfect teeth.....my teeth are ok...I was a late thumbsucker, so they have a wee bit of a gap that I like now, but they aren't perfect. Sadly the diet retrictions I did for years without taking pills to guard against damage have taken their toll on my teeth. :( I now take mineral and vit tablets that I'm meant to...except when I foget lol

    2. retro...not thought of doing the sorting out as a job? we have three stroage containers full of the sort of stuff you'd have us get rid of and a room stuffed to the brim with sentimental tat. DH has never played a computer game since I met him, yet has all his hildhood things for them in a box. I got rid of loads of stuff when I went to uni and after, and when I left my ec he relieved me of a lot o nice stuff, lol, but we have to be ruthless soon.

we move 13 times in a little over 5 years: it was desperately drain, and living with your stuff in storage is depressing too.

LOL Lost I would probably get sacked as I would end up throwing away everything lol

OH gets his hoarding nature from his mother she keeps everything! She has all his old schoolbooks, old teddies etc etc in the loft (they actually boarded the loft out to use as proper room but stuffed it full of stuff)...they have a huge house and the smallest room is a study and I hyperventilate every time I catch a glimpse of it as its literally stuff floor to ceiling with paperwork!

Im much more the opposite I have a few sentimental things that I will never part with, my nanas wedding ring, a few albums of back and white pics o my nana and her 2 sisters when they were younger...but I must admit Im a bad mummy I dot have a baby box for any of my kids....seriously when are you every going to need that stuff? lol

ETA when we first moved up here just the boys and me we moved into a furnished house and I had to put all my things in storage (apart from the kids toys etc) it was awful! So I like having my own things but only usefull things lol

Not very happy with my Dad today! His friends daughter sent a bag of free clothes for me to keep/ebay and he forgot them. You don't forget free clothes!!

Been to the post office - 12 tills and 2 open. About 30 people waiting.. as you can guess they weren't pleased with me and my 15 parcels. Where else am I supposed to post things?!

Good luck with the clearing Queen. When we moved we had SO much stuff. One year one and we still have boxes marked with 'need sorting' as we just ran out of time.

Me and OH took 29 parcels to the post office today, they've even given us the certificate of posting forms to fill out ourselves now since we've started ebaying stuff :rotfl:

Shame about the clothes...maybe your dad doesn't understand how crazy we are ;)

Hopefully we won't run out of time, I think OH thinks I'm being a bit premature but I want as much sorted as possible so the week we move we just have to pack essentials rather than sorting and packing EVERYTHING! Be way to stressful otherwise.
i think it's definitely true that the stuff you accumulate is dependant on the space you have - i had a fairly minimalist flat when i moved in, and a yr or so later, it's sooo full..going to do a car boot or two when the weather gets better..

I've always had loads of stuff, even when I lived in betsit land when I first moved to Nottingham, I'm getting better but can be an awful horder.

Good luck with the carboots :D
I have moved erm lets see (counts on fingers) 6 times in the past 6 years and I am now very very good at throwing things out I can never understand people who move things from their loft that they havent seen in years with them- OH who has lived in the same house since he was a child, moved in with his mate then i with me is a total hoarder! It drives me potty- he will always keep things just in case right down to empty milk bottles for defrosting the car etc....needless t say these things walk to th recycling bag when he leaves for work...he has a ton of model cars which are pretty expensive that are in a big box in the loft...I dont see then point Id have sold them all and bought something useful with the money....when you move a lot you tend to not hold sentimental value on things lol

Get rid of everything you can look at it and decide do I need it/ does it serve a purpose/ have I used it in the past 6 months if the answer is no then get rid...unless its something special of course :) I love moving house...well not the actual moving I hate that and have to have everything unpacked within 2 days- I cant settle otherwise but I love the excitement of a new area (I moved 250 miles away from where I lived in the South 6 years ago and didnt know a soul)..its scary but so exciting too Im sure you will be fine x

Since being in Nottingham (8 years) I've moved 10 times, been in this current place 18 months and one of my flats I was there 18 months, so the other 5 years I moved 8 times! It's almost become a hobby and I've got better at it every time :rotfl:This will be the biggest move since I left my home town at 18 though and I think it will take me a little while to settle. I'm slow to make friends but know it'll happen :) Hardest part is that OH is from Liverpool and grew up there, so he's got a foundation already and a few friends, plus his family, where as I am starting totally from sctrach. But it's an exciting adventure and I'm looking forward to us creating a new life together :)

I'm thinking purple - red would be too 'in your face' plus I don't have red lol. I have grey, grape, purple, burgandy and black (boring aren't I?)

ooOOo very pretty skirt, I agree berry or purple would look fab, pale pink ones would work too on a spring day

Daisy, could you be an angel and pm me the hobnob recipe? I might give them a bash this evening in between watching the football.

I hope there is no more liverpool sadness tonight, they are talking about raf walking if they lose tonight  such a shame they are having a bad one after last season :(
