It'd be lovely to be tall enough to be able to wear maxi dresses
*wistful sigh*
ETA - I don't mind black trousers in a proper cut and fabric but I cannot bear shiny polyester trousers which is all most shops seem to sell at the moment.0 -
Oh no shame in crying. I cry after many of my appts. It's a healthy outlet for frustration and worries0

I have some wide leg light wool black trousers, they are lovely, but expensive...I love well cut black to. Black poly mix trousers are so bad for our ''feminine health'' too as well as not being to my taste aesthetically.0 -

I worked in a chazza for 10 years and they were always very happy to accept rags. Mary Portas also mentioned this and suggested you ask first and then always clearly mark the bag with the word "rags" just so nobody wastes their time sorting through it.
I dont know if this is the same in all areas but round here we get absolutely tons of charity bags through the doors each week (literally 10 a week).... a good 8 out of 10 are "recycling" companies with a spiel about how they recycle all clothes and the money is sent to the third world? I saw something on (maybe) Panorama or similar a year or so ago saying these companies are fraudulently claiming this and they actually take the clothes and sell to the rag market and keep the profits! Because of this I will only give to proper charity shops or registered charities....so its really good to know that they will take tattered stuff. Ive taken it to the tip in the past (who have a recycling bin) but I rather donate and now that its going to a good case.**"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. My personal advise is to wear something other than white though as a first challenge! with black trousers/skirt. while its beautifully classic and works wonderfully...it can look a bit like a waiter/waitress
Another question would be don't just class yourself as an 18...have a look in the mirror, see how your boddy is shaped. And if your boobs are big buy a decent bra: bras make the most amazing difference. I only have one that is right ATM, today my bra is one from before I lost some weight, and by god my boobs are NOT where they are meant to be.
Big gals aren't meant to wear things like roll necks, but one of my best things ATM was a charity shop purchase this winter, of a green roll neck...with the bra that fits on I feel good in this. I don't mind if my ''banger'' look huge.:)
Lost you are so right about the bra. I keep on at my Mum (who's quite overweight) that she wouldn't look or feel half as bad if she just lifted her boobs up into a well fitting bra! I got her as far a Tesco and then instigated trying some different sizes on and some underwire but she needed a bigger size than they went up to.
I'd love to take her to Bravissimo as have heard good things about them but I know she'd never pay that much for a bra. I'm going to have another push, maybe take her to debenhams because her back is far too big, and she has the four boob look and then some, spiling out everywhere.
As a result she buys clothes that are far too big so that the "lumps" don't show. It's such a shame but I know she'd feel so good once they're under control!
I hope she isn't reading this:o0 -
Forgot to add Lost I hope tomorrow goes well hun.
