OP - I live near Stansted. Not sure where you are exactly (you might be the other way) but if you need a lift, message me.

I was on JSA last year and finally been working for a few months so happy to help.

This has to be the one of the kindest offers I have seen on MSE for a long time, you have restore my faith in human nature, and theres not alot of it on this board I can tell you!

Well done to flightboy for getting for the job, and well done Tronski for taking him.:T

  • Good luck with the new job flightboy- and tronski, what a kind thing for you to do. This just goes to show what some determination and some human kindness can do. Here's to you both!

tronski, what a generous offer! Well done to flightboy for getting the position as well.

Truly made me smile to see this happening here on MSE, all I generally tend to read is people being rather unkind to each other makes a very nice change.

Lovely story - well done to both of you. I was ready to give you the £11 but very happy to see lovely human nature has shone through. When you think about it, it's such a small thing, giving someone a lift. I'm sure most of us have done this or taken this many a time in our life and haven't even given it a second thought - and yet look what an impact such a small gesture of kindness has done.

Tronski, the world needs more people like you. Congrats flightboy on getting your job!!! I'm glad you never gave up even though it seemed like you wouldn't get to your interview.

This still going? haha thanks everyone i actually have 2 jobs now :) 57hours a week but i want to save every penny i earn so i can get on a training course next winter

BTW as a side note when i went for the 2nd interview i paid my own £11 bus fare and when i went to claim it back in the jobcentre i was rejected within a week EVILS seems you now have to arrange a meeting with the JC before just to tell them your going to pay your own fare or they wont refund

But hey 1 more week of signing on and hopefully this will be my one and only time in my life i have contact with them =D
