I'm sad to read you've had problems with JCP & the Travel to Interview scheme - although happily it looks like tronski, bless 'em, has sorted you now.

I've known cash advances of TIS to be paid by JCP in past - with just the need for the applicant to produce the tickets afterwards.

However due to the systematic abuse of this service by too many people - eg getting a cash advance for round trip to XYZ town for an interview & then not going to said interview - & the inability (legislatively) for JCP to get that money back, the many have unfortunately had to suffer for the actions of the few.

Maybe it would be a good idea to have a bus warrant voucher scheme as well as rail warrants?

I'm glad it worked out, the system is rubbish without Tronski you might still be signing on (if thats what it is called), why can't the government do some real good and help people in times of need that are quite clearly trying to help themselves...

I remember not so long ago a "friend" of mine who had not worked for about 15 years moaning because they offered her a return to work grant and specifed what she had to buy lol

(children aged 15 and 13 by this stage)

sorry love it does not cover the designer gear you seem to be able to have afforded whilst on benefit - thats another story really peeved me wide screen tv, latest games console, car etc... on single parent benefit.. HELLO

Good luck Flightboy and I wish you all the best in your "new" "old" job... hopefully this time you will never have to deal with the shambolic system again

Well done, you deserve it. Really good to read about someone who didn't want to take all he could from the system.
Tronski, you've proven that there are still good people around.
I wonder if Martin had any idea of the fantastic community he was building with this site.
All the best to you both.
