  • I noticed that - very unimpressed.

I prefer Sainsbury's its basically the same price (£1.25 but only 8l) but I find its actually a better quality cat litter.

Many of the shop managers told me all sorts of things set off the alarms, not just the tags.
The iCandy Apple pushchair does this too :rotfl:

That fits in with what I was told once. I was told that my cables set off the alarm because they were collied into a circle, and most "circles of metal" will set them off.

Just looked up the iCandy Apple pushchair and looked at a picture of one. The frame does look a lot like a "flattened" circle.

Bought it this morning, it's been £1.58 for ages. Granted it was around the £1.06 mark for a long time, but even at £1.58 I still haven't found anything better for less.

Ah well maybe my partner got the price the wrong way round - he told me he paid £1.85. :o

Might try the Sainsburys one. Morrisons is the heavy fullers earth kind and I prefer the lighter stuff.

    Thanks :)

The 2 for £3 range (Double Gloucester, Caerphilly, Red Leicester etc) has new packaging and the single price has dropped from £2 to £1.68 (which is a 5p/kilo increase).
The multibuy price is still 2 for £3 but as they now weigh only 250gms each instead 300, this is equivalent to a price increase from £5 kilo to £6, a mere 20%.

Why not stock up before they raise the price again?

Maybe she hasn't got room for 20 bags of cat litter! They're very heavy.

I am pretty certain that this was £1.09 -£1.19 at the beginning of the year which is why I was buying it. Recently I noticed it had jumped up to £1.69 and last week it cost £1.85!!

Am looking for a cheaper source now, any suggestions.?

    Cheers. :)

Pretty sad i know but looked at my old receipts :o it was £1.16 15th feb then went to £1.36 25th march and obviously gone up further since!!!

Now I can shread my old receipts :rotfl:and as a bonus discovered 104 unregistered tesco clubcard point whoop whoop:beer:

Has something happened in the world that would cause the price of corned beef to jump by over 30%?

Lidl had tins at 99p just a couple of weeks ago and this morning it was £1.32

I managed to pick up a few tins in Poundland but should I get some more in case everyone is putting their price up.
