£1.09 at ALDI.
I am in a way ok with the price rise, and I hope the rise coincides with finding those missing persons.0 -

Me too, but I doubt the price increase will affect that.
I certainly won't be taking any more notice of the photos on the bottle just because I've paid an extra 10p for the bottle.
On a serious note, I think those "adverts" only work if the actual person in the photo sees them selves. I look at the photos, but ten minutes latter wouldn't recognise the person if they burst through my front door and took my rice krispies.0 -
Tesco price has increased from 65p to 85p for creamfields milk 2ltr0

and that other one that was a £1 in t's gone too £1.25pSIMPLES!0

Anyone aware of a solid reason for the increases or is this just a random, rip-off?0

|Asda may have had a problem with suppliers because most supermarket who have an instore bakery don't actually make the bread they just cook it from frozen.I used to work in an instore bakery and was suprised at how many people used to think I baked all the bread which would have been impossible because I was the only person who worked in the bakery.0

I have seen some of the Morrisons adverts for extremely un useful things on 3 for 1 like Pringles, I was only thinking about families on a budget so it would be good on nappies and things that people struggle to afford. But maybe you can enlighten me as I dont shop at Morrisons so maybe they have some great deals?
You rarely see offers on staple things because people have to buy them, thats why offers are nearly always on treats.
I get all my fruit veg & salad in Waitrose for me its fantastic value because it lasts at least a week & I don't have any wastage.
I also get my meat & poultry there, I stock up on the things I buy when they are on offer.
Tonight I got a small gammon joint - £5
Sirloin steak, third off
Smoked streaky bacon (to die for) on the deli counter, good sized large portion, reduced, it all came to £2.20
Chicken breasts third off0 -
Tesco is very expensive.
I buy from Aldi mainly. I have found recently that M&S do very good offers too - was browsing when buying the meal for £10 deal. You need to have a look around as some things are more expensive than a typical supermarket but some of their offers are really very good. Also M&S reduce items by 50% after 3pm in my local store so there are more bargains to be had than you would think. Sainsburys are good for bread deals and buying branded foods which you cannot get in Aldi/M&S.0
