I have seen some of the Morrisons adverts for extremely un useful things on 3 for 1 like Pringles, I was only thinking about families on a budget so it would be good on nappies and things that people struggle to afford. But maybe you can enlighten me as I dont shop at Morrisons so maybe they have some great deals?

They do have good deals, but they don't usually advertise them on the TV or on their web site. Very few of the offers they have appeaar on their web site, which appears to be a half hearted attempt to drag them into the digital age.

Just to add, most supermarkets including Morrison's, publish flyers/leaflets which have all their ''deals'' on them, if you look at them al over the course of a couple of months, the same or near ly rhe same deals appear at rival supermarkets.

Don't know if this has been posted, had a quick scan through and couldn't see, apologies if it has.
Went to do an online shop and Asda used to do a big range of mix and match wines at 3 for £10. Some of them were OK wines especially for the price.
Anyway had a look online and now this offer is 3 for £12 not a tenner!! A big overnight price rise IMHO.

I wonder why they have never been pulled up as there must be some kind of price fixing going on with them and the wine suppliers. For example some of the bottles in the 3 for a tenner were selling indiviually for £7+ but by buying more then can half the price to £3.33 a bottle?

I don't get it, it hurts my little brain too much and the price increase even more!!!

Thats just one of the several items including Value items that have gone up 400% in my local store..I had to complain about the porridge oats a few months back when they did the same.. they went back down again after I called Head Office.

Needless to say I called Head Office again this time.
Further to my last post after calling Head Office my store has now reduced the value curry sauce from a 400% increase to just a 200% one..:p:p:p

having just got back from a self catering break in tenerife, I am surprised at how much food costs over there, and the quality of the veg in the supermarkets eg potatoes, tomatoes - locally grown) was poor.

Yes, I've noticed this too. The veg is edible, but looks quite ghastly. I think that the best stuff goes for export, and the unsightly stuff is consumed locally. As for the rest of the food, you will usually find that anything imported onto an island costs a bit more.
