help! Emergency de-bloating tactics needed!
I have stuck to plan this week- had 56 syns so far so have 14 left for today and tomorrow but I have had a lot of pasta based foods. I even had some bread (HEB) had the weekend (which I have been avoiding). The long and short is: I have WI tomorrow and this morning my scales have said I have gained weight
So- does anybody have any emergency de-bloating advice??
Meal plan for today: EE
breakfast Activia FF, peppermint tea
lunch- homemade tomato soup (tomatoes, onions, peppers, garlic, veg stock) Activia FF
snacks- banana, Fibre plus (HEB)
dinners- spaghetti bolognese- (extra lean mince, onions, tomatoes topped with 42g reduced fat cheese HEA) spaghetti (pasta again! Intend to only have a little- maybe 100g or so) Honeydew melon afterwards.
So can anybody help?! Any tips to reduce the bloat and water retention?!!0 -
Well the Activia and peppermint tea should help
How about some ginger tea?
Good luck with weigh in0 -
Make sure you drink plenty of water and avoid any salty food as it will make you retain more water. I dont know if its just me but when i eat activia (which i prefer)instead of mullers i go to the toilet a hell of a lot more.
How accurate are your scales, mine were bloody expensive but there not much use, i can weigh myself step off then on again and i can loose or gain, good luck for tomorrow xMarch 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000 -

Mine are quite good. I usually just look to have an idea of loss or gain rather than as accurate reading, but they are consistent! (unfortunately)
Drunk a litre of water already, two cups of peppermint tea and a bottle of dr pepper zero (not the best but hey ho... I like pop) Will try to stick to water and herbal teas for today and tomorrow. Have also bought some water balance tablets from boots to try to help with the water retention.
This is all really annoying when I know I've been good but just want the scales to reflect what I've eaten (or more accurately, what I've NOT eaten)

hey back i maintained but to me thats good because i ate nothing for almost 3 days last week so my lose wasn't health so to maintain it was really good

Hi guys
Today is WI and I'm feeling prettyabout it all. Weighed on my scales this morning I have either maintained or gained. Just double triple checked my food diary and I have had 80 syns this week, which averages at 13 per day, and I have had least 5 types of speed food per day. And I have been having my 1/3 superfree. I even had a green day on monday and to maintain my 1/3 superfree, even though I didn't have to, I had a huge salad with the pasta bake I had.
I've already decieded that no matter what happens tonight I am having tomorrow 'off'. I am going out tomorrow night with friends to Nandos then cinema and I'm just going to enjoy it.. and get back on track on Saturday. This week has been such a struggle to stick to plan when I was feelingabout my little unexpected gain last week that I need a break. But just a short one
Ah well, I'll be back later to let you know outcome of WI0 -
Hi Laura
Sometimes that just happens - you do all you can, I did that one week, was good all week and walked at least 1 mile every lunch and still gained - had a bigger loss the following week though...
This week I gained 2lb but i had been on hols - all inclusive so this wasnt as bad as I thought!
Im back on it now though.
Come on girls, we can do it xx:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:
