Laura2481- I know how you feel, went oufor my neices 21st last night and the lady that was making her cake let her down so i was roped in at the last minute to make cupcakes. So spent all yesterday afternoon making about 40 cupcakes with the big swirly pink buttercream, they looked lovely but dread to think how many syns i had when i was making them (oviously had to keep testing them lol). Then after the meal i thought sod this ive not stood there all day making them then not havong one so i had a massive one with white chocolate buttons and pink sprinkles, yum yum xxMarch 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000

This week is going good so far, depite the saturday night blip. I weight myself today (i know I shouldn't but hey..:o) and I saw a number I haven't seen in about 2 years so that's nice... I should be on track to loose 2Ib this week.. especially if I squidge in a bit more exercise. I'm thinking walk to town today 2-3miles, maybe arms toning exercises tonight. I might go to the gym tomorrow. I'm PAYG at the gym so if I don't..it doesn't cost me anything, but some kind of cardio and maybe some abs.0 -

Hi- just posted this on another SW thread and thought it might inspire some of us to different ideas for breakfasts
My breakfast:- yoghurt (usually Activia fat free as doctor told be to have these due to IBS)
- yoghurt and fruit
- Yoghurt and couscous (sound weird, quite tasty and keeps me full until lunch)
- 42g All-Bran HEB
- 1x alpen light bar (1/2 HEB or use 3 syns) , followed by yoghurt a bit later
- cooked breakfast (bacon, fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms)
- Breakfast Tray bake (recipe was in magazine once) potatoes, onions or spring onions, mushrooms, bacon, coddled eggs.
- bacon sandwich (using HEB)
Going to post a lovely looking recipe over here in a second. Looks yum... back soon0 -
Shamelessly stolen from the SW-extra easy weight loss thread:TakeItEazy wrote: »• 150g couscous
• 200ml hot vegetable stock
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 bunch spring onions
• 100g Cheddar cheese
• 4 tbsp sunflower oil (I'm going to try using a spray oil)1. Place the couscous in a bowl and pour over the hot stock. Cover with cling film and leave to stand for 15 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, finely shred the spring onions and grate the cheese.
3. Fluff up the grains of the couscous with a fork. Mix in the onions and cheese, together with the eggs. Shape into 8 cakes.
4. Heat 2 tbsp of the sunflower oil (or your spray oil) in a non-stick frying pan and cook 4 cakes for 2-3 minutes per side. Place on kitchen paper, then heat the rest of the oil and cook the second batch.I reckon, over 4 people that makes 25g of cheese so you could have these as a HExA option. They are so yummy and don't have the texture of couscous at all once made upHeres the couscous frittas
Thanks goes to Carmen for this recipe :T
Ignoring oil as I will use frylight as it is free, 100g cheese is 21.5 syns so that would be 3 syns per cake. Or using reduced fat cheese (I always use a 'mature' reduced fat cheese to get the same flavour) that would be 14 syns for all or 2 syns each. I might play with the recipe and only put in 84g reduced fat cheese so for 4 cakes can count it as 1 HEA and rest is FREE,0 -
Darn... I wish I had some spring onions in I would make them now. They look tasty :P They will be a nice change to chicken with salad which I have had several times this week for lunch (nice flavoured chicken but still... chicken and salad
