You are not mistaken.
Ignore is indeed still the correct advice.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

OK, point taken.. I'll be more aware in future, or try to be.
Guess we'd better stop corresponding on this thread or it will continue bumping along.0 -
I had a parking ticket notice from parking eye yesterday for a car park in Newquay, I was parked there with no ticket fair enough but one of my kids was in the car while we popped in a couple of shops, a camera caught me goin in and out the car park without buying a ticket, it's a company car so my head office got the letter and forwarded it on to me to sort out, before I found all the posts on here about these crooks I put an appeal email in last night with about my son being I'll and needing the toilet quite quickly, iv had an automated response saying they got my appeal, wot do you think I should do next? Just wait and ignor any further letters or just pay up and put it to bed, don't want my boss or company getting taken to court or anything!!
Any advice would be great
Thank

At least your company forwarded on the fake invoice from the PPC, rather than paying it. Well done on them. Just make sure they do the same for any further correspondence - have a word with whoever manages the company cars or the lease company if it's leased. Make sure they're aware of what this is, and NOT to pay under any circumstances.0 -
Hello J1sm -- I think maybe you were at Fistral Beach? Even if you had paid for 1 hour and then 'overstayed' by 5 minutes you would get a thieving Parking Eye letter. As all the info here says .. IGNORE .. I am now on my 3rd letter and wait for the 7th before they give up or I'll see them in court. Absolute THIEVERY demanding a PENALTY of £60 for 5 minutes.... stay brave.0

Thanks for the replies and I'm going to stick it out and not pay these scum a penny!! Yes it was at fistral beach, I'm guessing that it is quite a hot spot for these kind of tickets ?0

I submit this entry to thank the main contributors to this site for their sound advice and to reassure newcomers that the information you read on here about parking charge scams is absolutely correct.
I recently received a Parking Eye ‘Parking Charge Notice’ for overstaying a two hour restriction on an Aldi car park by a matter of minutes.
I was about to pay until I began some research and came upon this website. I followed the advice on here to completely ignore the notice and exactly as predicted I received a further demand for payment within seven days and then one week later a final notice with all the accompanying threats for non payment.
Again following advice given here I ignored the letters and after more than three months I have not heard a thing. No further demands, no court summons, no bailiffs, nothing ... just complete silence. If further action was possible I feel sure I would have heard something by now.
This convinces me that as reported here these parking companies are just cowboy firms hoping to frighten and bully respectable motorists into paying extortionate, unwarranted and most probably illegal parking fees.
If you receive a parking charge notice, do not panic, follow the advice given here strictly and hold your nerve. Spread the word too, close these parasites down and force them all to get out and earn an honest living.
If by some chance I am premature in my belief that Parking Eye have given up and further action follows in the future, then rest assured I will report back to this site.
Thanks again to the main contributors here, what you are doing does make a difference.0 -
Well, that's where my car was seen on camera. I'd paid and we thought we left on time, PE say we were less than 10 minutes over the hour. First letter just said 'did not pay or overstayed'. Second letter said 'overstayed'.. Third letter threatens debt collectors and solicitors. It's a dirty scam and initially I was so angray that I was ready to let this run thru the courts even if it cost me a lot of money because it has to be unreasonable to demand £90 or £60 for less than 10 minutes. The Fistral Beach parking site does not make it clear that it's a 'private' car park and cameras were not obviously sited.. I saw nothing different from the other dozen council pay & display car parks that I'd used in the same week. I'd paid & displayed at Fistral but PEye scammers pounced. I am, like you, happy to find forums such as this one and it's great that they have the moral backing of people like Martin Lewis who may be a money genius but an encourager of illegal activity he is not.0
