The current advice is to ignore them. In response to your email you will undoubtedly receive an "Appeal unsuccessful" template letter.
However since you have only said the RK was not driving and informing them that you wont be telling them who was, there is no damaged caused.
However expect the usual gobbledegook from them as they will spout all sorts of irrelevant nonsense.
Best to ignore them from now on!0 -

Well, for your information, I only found this thread after, thats AFTER the email was sent.
Many thanks for your friendly advice.0 -
Why on earth did you pay them??
uh, i thought that was clear in my post - I actually did go over the 2 hour free parking notice and they had camera evidence of my car/number plate which they posted to me, so I thought they had a legitimate fine over me.
I didn't post here for the first time to get mocked, but meerly to warn people who may be honest and law abiding, like myself, that even paying these people doesn't make the harrassment stop and they are total sharks with inferior systems. It's appaling.0 -

Actually I was not mocking it was a serious question. Why do you believe Parking Eye can FINE you. Most people here including myself are "honest and law abiding", what we are not is gullible. If I use a supermarket car park and spend my hard earned in said supermarket I don't expect them to tell me how long I can park in their car park.
If some tinpot parking company set rules that have no authority in either criminal or civil law. Then they expect me to pay an illegal penalty to finance their attempts to extort more money from gullible people then they will have a long wait.
I accept that you may have thought they had a legitimate cause to charge you. However a five minute browse around this site and others, would have no doubt shown you that these charges are not legitimate.0 -

Dear All,
I received a "Parking Charge Notice" from the cowboys Parking Eye on Friday 17th June for parking at Morrison's car park in Stratford, London.
A number of points to note:
1. Received PCN by post on 17th June 2011, asking for payment of £50 to be received by Monday 20th June 2011 otherwise the charge would go up to £80. Thus only allowing me a weekend plus a Monday to make the payment.
2. The photo on the PCN shows my car entering the car park and leaving 55mins later. They have no proof that I actually parked the car, I could have been waiting in the car stopped outside the store entrance. I could have been giving my wife driving lessons in the store car park? Therefore I may not have actually parked the car.
3. I had my elderly father with me and clearly displayed a disabled badge, however as there were no disability bays free I parked in a normal parking spot.
4. I was not aware that disabled badge holders still needed to pay for parking.
So as it is Monday the 20th June today, should I write to them to appeal the PCN or should I just ignore them?0 -
