I have received two notices now and the psychology being employed is now obvious, thanks to the collective opinion of mse forums. I will not be replying in any way shape or form and my family have been briefed to state to any door visitors that any alleged amount is protested and that no CCJ has been received.

Sod the parasitic lot of them

It's 99.9999% certain that nobody would ever turn up on your doorstep. These parasites just don't work that way.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • Thanks to this forum I have saved myself £60 from the same company. Popped into a local hotel car park in Hatfield, had a coffee and went across to a popular shop to have a quick luck. 3 days later I get a demand. Haven used this hotel many times before only to discover that since Feb apparently signs were up to buy a ticket. Didn't expect to see it so didn't see it. Of course I had since lost my receipt for drinks and like others innocently told the full story; even contacted hotel who said it was out of their hands.

Two letters from me later and still the relentless demands come in. Then I began googling and found this forum.

Thank you all so much for your time in putting the detail up here. I wrote to say I would send any further letters to my solicitor and Ombudsman and have heard nothing in 6 weeks.

    Don't hesitate; bin them.
  • Well I did the honest thing and paid my £50 fine on the 7th June (the cutoff date) After all I was guilty of going over the 2 hour free parking limit by 20 mins - fair cop! Although I didn't realise there was a 2 hour limit at the time.

I used their website to pay typing in my reference and credit card details - the payment just hung as 'being processed' for a good 5 minutes and then said Error in making payment. I almost went back on my browser and did it again and then thought better of it and called my Bank, who informed me that 2 £52.50 debits had been authorised but one would probably drop off! So I waited a day and checked my statement. There was only one debit of £52.50 (and yes they charge you £2.50 for the privalege of paying too!) so that was that. Nope! Today I received a final reminder to pay £80 by 22/6. So I checked my statement again and there was a phone number on my statement (not 0845 no.!! hoorah!) so I called and they answered straight away. A young girl told me I had to send in proof of payment ie - a bank statement to prove I'd made the payment! I ranted for a bit - felt a little better and she went and spoke to the supervisor and came back and said as they had no access to bank accounts, I needed to prove it!! So it's my fault that their systems are inadequate to handle this process!! Well they can shove that request and take me to court - bring it on, where I will counter claim for all my costs and emotional distress!

These people should be hung up to dry, seriously - don't pay cos even if you do they don't believe you!!

If you fall for their con you often receive further harassment because you have just done the equivalent of writing MUG on your forehead.

If you've fallen for it once, they'll hope you'll fall for it again.

Valuable lesson. Read up on PPCs and make sure you never ever pay them again.
  • I'm currently dealing with Parking Eye on behalf of my Father-in-law.

He is the Registered keeper, but wasn't driving on the day. In fact, he wasn't even there.

I've just emailed PA, telling them that he wasn't driving, and reminding them that he is under no obligation to tell them who WAS driving.

    Lets see what happens.

Excellent move...doing exactly what you're told not to do on this forum.
