For your information, it's not a fine. It's what is known as an unenforceable invoice. Parking Eye are a private company and by law a private company has no right to fine or penalise another company or individual. In other words, there is nothing that they can do and you are under no obligation to enter into any conversation with them or make any payment.
This is a scam that impersonates authority. They try to make you believe that they are able to do the things that they threaten to do when they cannot.
The best thing to do is to ignore them, do not under any circumstances reply to them or contact them in any way. That will only encourage them. In the very unlikely event that they try and take you to court then come back here and we will help you. Don't hold your breath that will happen though. A few people here have challenged Parking Eye to take them to court after receiving an invoice and have had no luck.
It's a scam. Ignore it.0 -
Shep:
That's good advice from Angel. Take no notice of anything that they or their bum-buddies Roxburghe may send you, it is all total bullsh*t designed to panic you into paying money which you don't owe them and which they cannot enforce.
Ignore. Then ignore again. And if you still have any spare time- ignore.
We guarantee it will work EVERY time. You usually get about six sheets of toilet paper before they realise you are no mug. Then they cut their losses and give up and go away, never to be heard from again.
DO: Come back on and report when they have gone so others will realise the advice is good.
DO: Tell all your friends that if they hear from these (or similar) scammers, IGNORE THEM and don't pay a penny.0 -
We've had 2 letters from Parking Eye, both telling us that if we don't pay by today, then they will add many other charges to the bill.
The first was the initial PCN-looking thing, then a week before the deadline, they sent a "parking charge notice to owner". We're ignoring, so far, will see what comes back and how many letters we get.
I personally think it's crazy that it's even possible to buy the RK's details from the DVLA, but there's not much we can do, aside from not owning a car...Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -

today i received a parking charge through the post as i went shopping to Walsall Crown Wharf on 27th December. I was under the impression that bank holidays are free and also that the 27th December is a bank holiday.
Everyone is saying on here not to pay it however please advise as i don't want to end up with a HUGE fine at the end of it.
Hi there,
That is exactly what has happened to me and on the same carpark and now they have changed there signs i went and checked. I have so far recieved 3 letters from them but i have no intention of paying anything after reading through this site. I also know people that live by me that have also ignored the letters and haven't gone to court yet. Do not pay!!0 -
Coupon, I didn't read the thread back to your previous post when replying to Shep, though I do see it is unreasonably huge- can the moderator not lock it?0
