Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam
  • Got a ticket from parking eye for overstaying at a hospital car park, for a car I no longer owned! I was daft enough to write to them informing them that it was no longer my car but they refused to accept anything I said and kept on threatening letters, bailiffs would break my doors down etc etc. It went on for 3 months and I was beginning to have nightmares about the letters because they were so nasty.
Finally I contacted the local police in Lancashire and complained about being caused harrassment, alarm and distress by their behaviour, an offence under the Public Order Act section 5. A PC got in touch with Parking Spy and they sent me a very terse letter cancelling the ticket. I thanked the PC by email. It's worth a try if it gets them off your back. He did, of course, check with DVLA and confirm that I no longer owned the car on the date of the alleged parking offence.

Writing a letter to someone at their home is not an offence under S5 of the POA..regardless of what the letter may say ..I do hope your friendly PC has a better grasp of the law than you do ! ;)

Clodia, please don't take offence, start a new thread with your situation because it gives more coverage to what nasty pieces of work they really are.
