Hi Everyone, wil read over properly in a wee while, just wanted to share my good news, we adopted a dog today from someone who was, at the very least, going to abandon it at the side of a motorway!!! Some people are just beyond comprehension. She is about a year old or younger, and a Staffordshire Terrier, which would not be my first pick for a pet but she's gorgeous and part of the family immediately. The boys love her and OH is smitten (as she is with him, think I have some competition there!). Oh, and her name is now Coco, as if she was chocolate she'd eat herself!!!!

Yay :T:T well done you, another dawgie lover here, would love to see a photo xx

Well been to the doctors (so very 21st century getting an appointment at 8:10pm!!) and the good news is I get an unexpected day off tomorrow :j....the bad news is I have to get blood tests and x-rays *needs a rolly eyes smiley*

Very nice doctor - made him blush :D he asked if there was any chance I was pregnant...I told him no because DH (who was with me) had been 'done' and now he was just a pleasure model :D:rotfl:

    hoping to sleep better tonight!!

  • Evening everyone

A very late one from me. Just wanted to say thanks for all your support, it is nice to know that people understand and sounds like there are a few of us in the similar situations, some even harder than what I have to deal with. I have been thinking all day about the trial of Ritalin on DS2 and think I am going to decline. His diet is good and I am quite careful when it comes to additives and preservatives as I cook mainly from scratch. He only drinks milk, fresh juice or water. I watched the programme on channel 4 with Jo Frost, Extreme Parental Guidance liked the idea of the listening game so may try that with him.

NPM - thanks for the link to the book, I think this is the one I borrowed from the library a few weeks ago and didnt get chance to have a proper look at it, so will borrow it again. My DS1 was on Ritalin for a few months when he was 8(now 19). he turned into a zombie, lost his spark, lost weight and was a nightmare for getting to sleep, so it really puts me off.

Ds1 has just turned up now, after not being here since Sunday and not letting me know where he was. Walked in as though nothing has happened, think I need to have words but may leave till tomorrow, too late now.

My head is very mushed tonight and can't recall everything that I have read so ((hugs)) to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.

  • Oops, sorry this post is technically a bit too late for the daily thread! Just wanted to say thank you so much for all your lovely kind words, they really mean a lot and they all help. Haven't managed to get on any earlier and read everybody's news properly so hugs and smiles for everyone. Will hopefully read/post more tomorrow, just wanted to say a quick thanks for your time and thoughts xxx
Thank you to all posters :A
