Well, we were supposed to be going out this morning, but I had to cancel, so we are doing some work in the house, instead - Life in the 1900's :)

I need to go and plan something for tonight's meal. We was going to be eating out, but there is stuff I can pull out the freezer at short notice, so it's not a :eek: situation :)

Nothing much going on really, so I won't fill up the page with non-OS'iness :D

    Have a good day all.

Will pop back later to catch up :)

    Hi peeps

i`m a bit late on here today as i has to be out and about early.

I had an early appointment at the new dentists and tbh i can`t decide what to do. I`m still on the books at my old dentist and have an appointment there next week and i also need to make an appointment at the new one.
I`ve not been going to the first one long and i ended up losing a tooth which i can`t help but blame him for but the new dentist dosen`t fill me with confidence either :o i think that its because the new one is very young so i think that he may not be very experienced and the old one isn`t that great either so i`m in a bit of a dilemma. Need to decide today though :(

The houndies were walked very early this morning, then i went to the dentist. On the way back i had to call in at the shops as my new (to me) wine book came yesterday :ji had to fetch the ingredients for the parsnip wine which i fancy making so they are all bubbling away in a pan in the kitchen now. I`ll keep an eye on it and get it all into the demijohn later :D I`ve also cleared the rest of the snow from the driveway and the footpath outside the house and fetched a bit of grit from the grit bin nearby ready for the forecast snow later tonight, i`m hoping that the forecast is wrong and we don`t have any as i`m mightilly sick of it all now. Very icy underfoot too so i did lots of chipping away at it with the shovel as it would be trecherous with new snow over the top.

Anguk - Nice to hear that Martyn is improving, pm sent re the dogfood :D

NPM - :o I knew that we had a stock in but couldn`t believe just how much we had accumulated, we`re down to about 50 now :rotfl:good job DH likes tuna, onion & mayo sandwiches.

Rosyred - Happy Birthday to yor DH

Taplady - Hope that all goes well for you today and that DH is ok on his first day back.

Kadeeae - I wish that i could send you a slice of that loaf, DH finished it off this morning, don`t think it will be long before i make another though :D I love that little smiley with the knife & fork.

Candy girl/ Flutterbyuk and all the other poorlies, hope that you are all ok and feeling much better

I`m off back into the kitchen to check on the "wine" pan, smells good!

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Do you think I would be mad to try eating some of plain jacket spud? I want something warm and comforting, I'm having trouble taking in any liquid so soup is out, and I only have a bread roll, no actual bread in flat. I managed a small slice of toast this morning.

I slept some more this morning, and I'm going to attempt a shower.

I need to put the WM on again as it went on early hours Monday by timer and I've been too ill to put it to dry so no doubt it will smell by now.

  • Hi all, newbie here, infrequent lurker but hope to become abit more involved time permitting.
My background: I'm 22 and just started a (more than) full time job back in oct. Had everything, good job, beautiful house, love of my life and no money issues. However my bf of 6yrs dumped me just after new year, totally out of blue, no real reasons other than he's not happy but doesn't know why. So I'm feeling very low currently. I didn't see him for a month but now we are both living in the house in separate bedrooms. He has divided all our stuff including food and pens and pencils....... Anyway, I guess the main point is my life has been turned upside down n now I need to recover and build new life. I hope to shop more frugally and run an organised house and learn to cook properly from scratch. Good habits to take with me into next relationship in however many years.

You all seem like lovely people :) sending hugs to those in need xx

I'm sure a small amount should be ok, but hold the butter! Are you able to drink water? Or try sipping flat lemonade to increase your fluids.

    Hi everyone,

    Hugs to those feeling ill.

Diva, I made your tuna pastryless quiche last night and it was lovely. I put sweetcorn in instead of pepper because pepper make me ill. I think it would be very good with bacon instead of tuna.

We cleared out the small bedroom which had a lot of DS's old clothes in it and when he was over we went through them with him. He took quite a lot with him, either for himself or for the things too small for his GF's brothers. We've taken the rest to the charity shop or for the very raggedy items into the recycle bin. Feel a bit bad, as if I'm pushing DS out but I'm sure he knows that's not the case.

I rang DD in NZ this morning because it's her birthday - 27 somehow it seems much older than 26 which I know id illogical.

I'm off to see the surgeon about my lumpectomy this afternoon, hopefully I won't have too long to wait for the appointment.

Hi rabbit, sorry to hear about your b/f it must be very difficult for you living in the same house. My DD split with her long term B/f last year but left him in the flat they were buying and so spent 9 months in people's spare rooms. He was a bit of a @rse about it as well.

I just physically cannot bring myself to drink anything. I've had some sips of water, and tried flat coke (no lemonade in). I think it's a phobia about drinking and then being sick again :(

I'm going to brave a bit of a v small plain jacket - wish me luck!
