Afternoon all
We've had a very productive day all in all. The girls have worked really hard and got a lot done
I've just snuck on here for 5 minutes to find some Dr Barnardo stuff for tomorrow, but I need to get a move on with regards dinner, otherwise the girls will start complaining
Hi RabbitWelcome to the OS daily.
Enjoy your Greek meal tonight, Rachel. Greece is going to be the next country we study, so I have about 6 weeks to think up some things, along with some other parents
Fingers crossed the house viewing will go ok elona

Evening all
Didn't post yest as I couldn't keep my eyes open when I got home from work:o Was really busy today again too but tomorrow is my last day for 10 whole days!!!!:j:j:j:j
On thursday I am going on a spa break with my sister, we are going to a hotel overnight, having a couple of treatments, 3 course dinner, bed and breakfast. Can't wait - my hubbie and DD's have treated me to it as I couldn't think of anything I wanted for my birthday (next monday).
We come back from there on friday then Sunday I have friends coming for dinner and Monday both DD's have the day off too and we will do the usual birthday celebrations of a lovely breakfast then out for shopping and lunch! I really enjoy having grown up daughters to do girlie things with:D
I then have the rest of the week off too as had to use up the last of my last years holiday before the new holiday year starts in April or I might loose it.
((((Hugs)))) to all the poorlies - flutterby hope you have kept some fluids etc down
SunnyGirl am so delighted to hear the great news about your OH and glad your course is going well. Things seem to be looking up for you:j
Haribo - are you MIA alot or am I just missing your posts? I really miss your particular brand of humour:D
Diva - I have to admit that I didn't make your tuna quiche, however when I was telling OH how I was wanting to try it, but was just too tired to bother, he decided to make it for me. Now he isn't a bad cook at all but I must admit he had me in stitches when he was making it, as when he read the measurements for the cheese to be one cup, he was stood with a great big block of cheese and a big cheese grater trying to catch the cheese he was grating directly into a cup - a case of taking it a little bit to literally I think! But I have to say it is really delicious and he said to tell you thank you for the recipe!
Rabbit - I really feel for you, my DD is in a similar situation as she and her partner have just called off their wedding but are still having to share the same house - things will improve for you in time but in the meantime you will get all the support you want from this lovely site!
Right too long a post now so have a good night all

Hi Everyone, wil read over properly in a wee while, just wanted to share my good news, we adopted a dog today from someone who was, at the very least, going to abandon it at the side of a motorway!!! Some people are just beyond comprehension. She is about a year old or younger, and a Staffordshire Terrier, which would not be my first pick for a pet but she's gorgeous and part of the family immediately. The boys love her and OH is smitten (as she is with him, think I have some competition there!). Oh, and her name is now Coco, as if she was chocolate she'd eat herself!!!!It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

YAY!!! :j fantastic to know that Coco has a loving new home, what a lovely family you are. I hope that all of you are very happy together
I hate how many dogs get abandoned and worse at a young age because people either get fed up with them or can`t be bothered to teach them things. Then there`s the "chewing period" *sits back and waits for a pic to be posted* sorry getting a bit carried away but i love dawgies
DH has just got back in with our two and the snow is coming down thick and fast, he`s just dried them both and played tug o war with the younger houndie with the toweli`m glad that i cleared all the snow and ice earlier as it shouldn`t be too bad in the morning.
We ended up with beef stew for tea with lots of crusty bread and a small portion is left over for my lunch tomorrow. I only made a small panful as i defrosted a small portion of left over braising steak that needed using up.
I made a decision on the dentist too. I`ve cancelled the previous dentist and made the appointment for the filling with the new one, its not until May and it will be a tricky filling so i`ll keep my fingers and toes crossed. Serves me right for having a weakness for pork scratchings
Right i`m off to eat a huge bar of galaxy and maybe a glass of vino or a voddiehave a good evening peeps.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Thanks, I had two minds about posting straight after you, and knowing about all the poorly pets that have been around here recently, I was worrried about upsetting everyone by being so happy, but as animal lovers, we're all happy to hear when one manages to catch a break aren't we? So glad we took her, she is adorable, and seems to be toilet trained which is half the battle, isn't it? I've started a thread on the pets board, and as soon as I can get the bluetooth connection sorted out I'll post some pics if anyone's interested. Ooh it's like having a baby all over again!
ETA Sorry cross posted with Sunnyday, I was addressing Nic!
