  • Hello again,
Off to virgin mobile store this morning, got offered exactly what's on the T-mobile website for new customers despite being with them for at least ten years. Loyalty obviously counts for nothing!

I was offered on T-mobile £29 with Free Htc HD2 , 1200 minutes , free internet and a free flexible booster 24 months contract.

The other offer with t-mobile was £20 x 24 months + £110 for the phone comes with 300 minutes 300 text + 3gb internet + flexible booster. Normaly on website you have to pay £172 quids for the phone..but i compared to virgin so i got down till 110

I have noticed if you call t-mobile they offer u better than store and online offers only if u taking out a new line.
  • I got nowhere asking for a good price on the HD2 going through upgrades in T-Mobile. Was not until I asked to cancel my contract that miraculously they actually had reasonable offers on the phone. Sure you can get a better deal than mine, but it was a lot better than upgrades at t-mobile were offering me.

With the HTC Bravo ( Desire) coming out in just over a month, which most networks are getting, and the Legend these offered will get better plus these 2 are amazingly good. Should bet the iphone and the HD2 hands down. They have been a fair while coming, so things should get shaken up a bit. I want an HTC HD2 now, but am on Orange and hold a fair bit of loyalty so can have lots of room to haggle with them.

I am just finishing an 18month contacts with a HTC Diamond, 600 mins, unlimited text and landline, £20 a month.

Currently the best I have got out of them is 18months HTC Hero, 900 mins, unlimited texts and landline, a broadband dongle and 300 texts for £15. But vanity and lust still make me want a HD2 now or a Bravo or Legend in a month. These are sins apparently... plus don't know what plans will be offered for these two new ones!!! Hope this helps.

Always just go straight through to disconnections as they can offer the best deals.

  • Hello

Yeah I work for Virgin Media and the HTC is flying out, its proving popular with us at the mo because we have a set up where we can automatically pass anyone for the credit check if they have a Virgin Media account and even a reasonably payment history.

That and the X6 (Nokia) which is launched today seem to be most popular today, but I wouldnt swap my Nokia E72

    Much luv!

I was looking at trying to get a virgin mobile phone and dongle package with the HD2 but can't see anything on the website- does such a thing exist do you know?! Then again is it me or do Virgin seem really fixed on the offers that they do- not even matching anyone!

PS Handy to know about the Virgin account check thingy as I have a Virgin media account!

  • After contemplating the iPhone, I've been told about the HTC Hero! I'm struggling to work out which one's the better phone of the HTC series:

    HTC Hero
    HTC HD2
    HTC Desire

The Desire looks as though the screen will readjust if you move it horizontally, just like the iPhone - but other than - can anyone give me a quick pros and cons of the phones?

    Much appreciated,

    Toby

The HTC Desire will win hands down. It is based on Android, which in my opinion will make it take over from iPhone.
  • The Desire looks like a really nice phone - this is my dealbreaker with most smartphones though, does anyone know if you can type text messages using an alphanumeric keypad rather than a QWERTY one? I hate using QWERTY keypads on mobiles. I know on the HD2/WinMo (which isn't on my network sadly) you can download different keyboards but i'm not sure about Android.

There's probably an app for that! Sorry, couldn't resist... don't. Also, my photo's on my 18 years month old HTC Diamond adjust if tilted horizontally. Actually, the game "tilt" on it was quite good!
