Quick good morning from me.
Working hard to catch up from mad last week.0 -
Work really does get in the way doesn't it!
Yes, I have running to do, books to read, and knitting to finish!I went through where you live on the train last night Red - lots of snow (Leeds had had about the same), is it still around or is it melting now?
It's melted a bit but still a couple of inches on the ground, and very slippy where it's melted and frozen.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Good morning. :hello:
Gorgeous day here, would be lovely for a run if the pavements were a little less treacherous! Can't go till Wednesday though so hopefully it will be a little less slippy by then. Am wondering how long it will take me to go from 9 miles to 13 miles as would quite like to do a half mara before GNR, as I would really love to be able to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy it rather than just struggle round. April is too soon I think, otherwise I would consider Sheffield/Blackpool. Might look one for June/July...but could be too hot! (Hahaha being a bit optimistic about the weather there!)
Good run Becks, must put you in quite a confident frame of mind for your marathon attempt.
Don't work too hard BB.
Hope everything goes okay at the doctors LMC and with the interview Lizzie.
Hope you feel better soon Claire.
Well done on your run/skate too Squizz. Blimmin' work. Pah.
Have fun tonight Sal, have you got a lot of snow there too?
Have I missed anyone?
Edit - Oh, Bookie, you sneaked in whilst I wasn't looking. Morning - how's the little man?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Are you up to 9 miles now Snags? I'm thinking about doing this Half in May - http://www.eyamhalfmarathon.org.uk/ - might be one to think about?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Yes, have done a couple.Hoping I will get chance to do a 10 mile run at the weekend, but haven't worked out how to fit it in yet as I have the kids both days.
Oooh, will have a look at that one, thanks! May would probably be about right, time-wise. Would mean I have to stay motivated (because I am very guilty of thinking 'Ohhh September is aaages away, no need to push too hard yet! And I need to snap out of that mindset right now!!), but it would also give me time afterwards to go through my 'never want to run again' phase which seems to last for a few weeks after every race, for some reason, and be back in the 'bring it on, I love running' phase that follows soon afterwards.
Edit - Just read the blurb... 'Definitely one of the toughest half marathons...'. Perhaps not! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
