Hello everybody,
Missed yesterday as everything seemed to go wrong that could do so....nothing major, just bitty things.
Shez, Mrs N9eav hope that you have had a good birthday.
PenPin, hope that to-day has been less traumatic than expected and that you are feeling all right now.
Sympathy to Kazzaw and family.
Hugs to those of you with bugs, hope that they clear soon.
Bit bothered that I seem to have absolutely no get up and go at present, could sleep 14 hours per night if nobody called me....I used to need 6 hours sleep until a few years ago....think that I will have to force myself to get up early for a few weeks in the hope that it will once again become a habit....would be happy with 8 am start, so not talking silly o'clock.
Sick to death of the cold weather, got out one day to sweep up some of Kerry's damage to the garden, she is really mischievous and seems to like breaking things up! Garden is confused too as at present I have snowdrops, crocus and WALLFLOWERS in bloom. No snow since Saturday night but hasn't all melted yet.
Dinner was pork chops with bok choi, roast onions and baked potatoes. The house is full of stuff that DD2 bought last week which wasn't used at party on Friday....lots of cakes in freezer so needn't bake for weeks.
Hugs to all in need or want for any reason

I really feel for you I have a nephew who suffers from Adhd and he was put on Ritalin - it heartbreaking it knocks them for six and they lose their appetite and are generally lethargic - it makes me so mad when it is the schools who can't cope with these special needs want to drug the children who are in the most need of help, but you can't get funding from local councils to send them to a school that specialises in these problems. It is a no win situation I am afraid thanks to Maggie T for her intergration policy ........more like saving money policy:mad:Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

jc2703 - thanks for posting the recipe, will definately be making both:D.
Anguk - Glad to hear that Martyn is improving.
Pipkin71 - my older son was diagnosed at 8 with Adhd too, but that was over 10 years ago. He was put on Ritalin and ended up like a zombie which was when I took him off it and basically was told to get on with it as there were no camhs then. I was also talked out of getting a statement by the school. Quite a bit of his behavour is learnt over the years and basically he has got more verbally abusive over the last few years. He puts on a bravado image but won't accept he has a problem or see anyone and basically it is just me that gets all this and no one else. I just think now is the time for him to be independent as I cannot help him anymore and can't let him keep affecting DS2. But it is so hard as I somehow feel I have failed. Unfortunately there are no local support groups, however I have attended seminars and parenting groups.
Butterfly Brain - I think my view is the same, as that is what I have witnessed for the short time my elder son was on it, loss of appetite, spaced out. Think I may not bother with Ritalin but then think that camhs will not give any support and I will be left to deal with things myself. He does have a statement in school for over 18 hours TA p/w and 8 hours specialist teacher. I have also managed to get funding for a specialist dyslexia teacher for an hour a week who has confirmed what I have said all along that he is dyslexic, however she also thinks he is dsyphraxic too.0
