Morning everyone. Big hugs to everyone who is need of one.
It's snowing here since 6 or so, and although it didn't seem to be settling earlier, the flakes are getting bigger and most things have got at least a couple of inches on them now. I've got a few outside errands to do, but I'm seriously considering staying put until it stops!
The Freeview box isn't working properly, so I'm listening to the wonderous Izzard on iPlayer while I'm on here. Despite the fact that he's a very visual stand up on stage, he 's also a good listen, although you do have to pay very careful atention, or you completely lose the plot (no change at this end, then!)
Hope everyone keeps warm and safe today, especially if you have to venture out.Surviving the ups and downs of life with DH

Hi everyone,
It's snowing here as well - hopefully it will stop and melt soon.
Happy birthday to Shez & Mrs 9eav.
Floss - re yesterday's post - do you live in the Blackpool area and is it one of the Party conferences?
Flutterby - that sounds horrible, I hate being sick, hope you feel better soon.
Diva, thanks for the good wishes for tomorrow, even though I know it's not too serious I've been a bit down about it.
DS & GF came for a roast dinner yesterday. I'd made a huge chilli on Saturday so gave them enough for a meal tonight and I also made them mocha squares and brownies. They are both really tired at the moment.
DD is in NZ - she went diving today, having caught the bug in Oz. She always picks the expensive hobbies. It's her birthday tomorrow so I know I'll miss her more than usual!0 -
PP- hope today goes OK for you all- thinking of you.
Sandy- really hope your cat is alright.
Flutterby ,hopefully is just a 24 hr thing, but horrible while it lasts, poor you.
Hope Mrs N9eav enjoys her birthday.
Shez & Julie (sorry,belated)

I need to go out and buy DH a birthday present for tomorrow. Its kind of sneaked up on us,and I'm not prepared :rotfl:It was only when both my brothers called with wine and cards over the weekend that we realised it was Tuesday. So I'd better get moving.Hope you have as good a day as you can x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning. Vets have rung and my appointment is at 6pm, sounds awful but I just wanted to get it out of the way. Having the last appointment is never good news:( Thanks for all the good wishes.
Pipkin, Hope your results are ok. Can you turn your music up louder, we did that and it shut the neighbours up:D
PP Hope today goes as well as it can.
Flutterby Hope you are feeling better soon, those bugs are horrible.
Mrs9eav and Shez Happy birthday and belated happy birthday to Julie

Morning everyone - hope the sun is shining with you today? I can't believe that it's Monday again, where's time going?!
It's a lovely day here, even if it was -2 ºC when I lef the house. A gorgeous, crisp winter's day and we don't get many of them!
It's a busy day, DH has got an appointment with the OH Doctor at work, so will see what that brings for him. It's meetings and Choir practice tonight, so it'll be a quick tea, probably pizza and salad
Happy birthday/belated birthday to those that have been celebrating recently - hope you've had lovely days.
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Me again

I was not quite awake when I posted this morning and reading back I didn't mean for it to sound so flippant to Pennypincher
, Its just that after my 12 yr old nephew's funeral my sister (had spent the night before not sleeping) went and had a lie down and said it was the best thing she could have done.
My OH has been to the doc's and he might have sleep apnea (my mum has it so I knew the signs) and now has to wait for the hospital appointment.
Poor thing has slept down stairs for the last week as his snoreing was driving me nuts.
Flutterby, hopefully it is a 24 hr thing as it has been hitting everyone around here
DD is cooking tea for tonight, she had to adapt a recipie for school into a healthier version so its pizza for tea
wholemeal flour for the base, loads of tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers and low fat cheese on top

Thank you all for sending me hugs etc. I still feel truely awful, but I've not been sick or anything for 3hours so I'm gonna hold off on calling the Drs as hopefully it is just the 24 hour bug that's going round. I managed to get 2 hours sleep too.
I think I need to eat something but really don't want to
may try some dry toast.
My back is what hurts the most at moment

Happy Birthday Mrs N9eav and Shez.
Pen-Pin - thinking of you today
Flutterby - poor you, being sick is the worst thing possible to me, I can't stand it (not sure that anyone likes actually being sick, but I'm sure you know what I mean!). Sounds like there is a lot of it about, hope you feel better soon.
Can I just grrrrrrrr at doctors. Lovely doc on Friday said if I had any spots appear (meaning shingles) to go back and get anti-virals. Spots appeared (only a few, but still spots) so I went today and saw another doctor, who decided he didn't think there was any point in putting me on them. Didn't have the energy to argue as didn't sleep well last night and still in pain, but was so cross. Total waste of my time going today.
British Gas engineer has been.
House still a tip, just can't get motivated at all and being ill doesn't help. Need a big kick up the backside I think!0
