    Afternoon.
Just scoffed some lunch and some more lemon drizzle cake.
This morning has been manic but good fun with my new mindee here. I don't get chance to sit and have a cuppa so the next few hours are hopefully going to be spent surfing and relaxing (although I can hear DD banging around in her cot so that could scupper plans :()

Lost a couple of clumps of hair from my head yesterday which freaked me out big time. It just fell out. Wasn't enough to leave any bald patches but was definately more than normal shedding. Have no idea what's caused this but thankfully no more has come out. It has been a bit of a wake up call regarding sorting myself out. Need to try and deal with some stress going on at home. Me and H have been having a few rough patches and what with constant tiredness I just don't think I am in a good space (although day to day no one would know). So time to start working on the things that make me happy and have some attitude adjustment. Onwards and upwards.

Right back to business. OS has been a bit limited. My mum has come round and done some cleaning for me (bless her). Doing tuna and tomato pasta for tea tonight.
It's bloomin' freezing here. No more snow as of yet (although forecast said we'd get some more boooooooooo). A good portion of yesterdays melted so at least roads are clear.

Penny - I hope today goes as well as it can xx

Kazzaw - My condolences to you and your OH xx

NPM - Hope Noah is getting back into his routine now half term is over xx

Redruby - hmmmm let me know how the bakewell goes. I LOVE bakewell but never made it myself. Always imagined it to be a bit of a faff :o

Flutterby - Hugs to you. Do you think you pulled some muscles whilst being sick?? Hope you're feeling better soon xx

Sandy - Hugs to you and your kitty xx

Happy Birthdays to Shez, Mrs N9eav and Mr Butterfly Brain. Hope you are all having a lovely day
Have a warm and snuggly afternoon all.

  • flutterbyuk hope you are soon feeling a bit better,my DD and family had it the week before half term and it put 5 out of seven of them in bed. Nasty virus going the rounds at the moment and it comes on very quickly apparently.Lots of fluids and the odd rich tea biscuit helps I believe
:bdaycake::bdaycake::bdaycake:to all who are having a birthday today.

Just finished my ironing mountain and put it all away in the airing cupboard:D:D:j
Dinner will be an early one as I have Uni tonight so I have rummaged in the freezer and found a quarter of steak and ale pie which I will have with new potatos and mixed vegand some thick gravy.Followed by some fruit and custard I think. Tomorrow I have the school run plus crafting class.its one of the ladies birthdays so i may knock up a few twinks cookies to take in with me.
Hope everyone has a nice day and keeps wrapped up well. The weather is awful at the moment wet & windy and very cold, but each day brings us closer to spring (I hope )
    Cheers Chums

Afternoon all................(((((((((((((((((((((((((.Hugs )))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.....

Still busy here this morning, all the inside jobs done, DS2 is now working on the log store outside!!

We had a slight snow shower this morning, but the sun is out now, OH says its cold in the wind. He has gone to his Monday meeting at the bowls club.

We still have not heard from sky, I really cannot afford to ring them again on my mobile the last call cost £8, my phone is supposed to be for emergencies. I have told OH that if I do not hear from them by the end of this week I am cancelling and going to someone else for the broadband and telephone and getting a freestat box.......its over 3 weeks since we moved and zilch........its over a week since the TV was connected............thats fine, but we have no phone!!!

The house is beginning to look something like now, the shelves in the kitchen will have to be apinted at some point and then sealed, I am going to the charity shops on a reccy for something I can use to make a curtain over the shelves for the time being. I am having to get used to the new layout.......

I cleaned the windows inside in the ?giuest room this morning, I was horrofied to find mildew growing on the glass, I do not think the previous people ever used that room.

We got the council tax bill this morning, horrendous over £1000.........a little cottage like we have and we are in band 'D'.

Spag bol sauce cooking on the stove for supper, I cheated and got an orange cheese cake out fo the freezer for dessert, I am shattered, could not be bothered to think about a pudding.

I think DS2 may go back down south on Thursday, he has to pick up his two eldest children on Friday night for their fortnightly visit.

Time I was off....DS will be in for his afternoon cuppa and a piece of scone......
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

_pale_ I have never felt so ill in my entire life. I went to bed fine bout 10.45 after having a glass of water, at 11pm I was (TMI alert!) projectile vomiting in my bathroom :( and it didn't stop all night. Once everything had come up I was still retching and could not even keep a sip of water down. At one point around 4am it was so bad I almost rung my Mum! I haven't been sick for about 90mins now. Didn't get any sleep last night. I have a really bad pain in my lower back (feels like my kidneys are on fire).

The worst bit is that I never actually get sick (other than colds or alcohol induced!), and today I'm meant to start a new team of young people on the programme we run. I've spent the last hour trying to get hold of colleagues to make other arrangements for someone to cover me as there is no way I can work today.

Hopefully I'll be better by the end of the day. I really want a cwtch of my mum, but I also don't want to give her whatever I have.

think we have the same bug hun, I spent most of last night on the bathroom floor and actually passed out in pain n exhaustion :(:(I have the back pain too:(:(
Hope you get better asap, i'm gonna try n have a shower in a few mins cos I feel rank:(

    Afternoon all~

PP- hoping all has gone 'well'. :(

flutterby- hoping you have been able to get some more rest and can keep at least some fluids in.

    csarina
    - sounds as if everything is really beginning to fall into place :T

    candygirl
    - sorry to hear you too have been ill. Seems to be so much of 'it' going around right now.

Well….. did the hoovering, laundry done for today - bedding tomorrow, changed the bed, got the lounge dusted through and gave the bathroom a quick clean so star on my chart for this morning! :D

It is still raining/sleeting/snowing, has only stopped very briefly a couple of times all day. At least if it continues should keep away the irritants this evening - we seem to have acquired a group of youths who are determined to make the IL's evenings near unbearable. Shouting at them and running about and the last time they've taken to throwing small stones . . . . . the police are involved, but it has become quite stressful for all of us. If they are not caught soon, hopefully it will end when the park re-opens.

The only plans for this afternoon that haven't been accomplished are to get 'The Beast' brushed and get the clean towels & rugs in the bathroom. Maybe a coffee first to boost the energy?? coffee.gif

Hope everyone's staying warm and dry!

Happy Birthday Shez & Mrs N9eav and belated wishes to Julie .

Pen-Pin - hope everything goes ok for you today.

Flutterby - hope you feel better soon!

Thanks everyone for your kind wishes regarding OH's brother. OH has gone to work today as there's nothing he can do until the family return from Portugal. DN's have arrived there safely and are now making arrangments with DSIL. I spoke to her this morning & she seems so lost. At least they had a few years of early retirement together & although it's such a shock for those left behind at least we know he didn't suffer.

OS wise going to do some batch cooking & meal planning later to keep us going. I'm in the WI Panto in a couple of weeks - I'm just hoping the funeral is not on a perfomance day as I don't want to let them down but obviously family comes first in these situations.

    Hugs to those in need.
