Friday ~ Childrens Rooms, Spare rooms Or just neglected spaces!
    Level One
    replace bedding

The rest is done for the second time this week - good job the room was fairly tidy to start with or it would have been far worse, I have just black bagged lots of stuff to go . Bedding is in the WM now.

Pigpen - thanks but they are safer in a different room to me at the moment, so they are re-tidying the playroom instead.

Need to get the roast potatoes in and then clean up where DH has been working, and do the last bits for the bathroom/our bedroom stars.

Greenbee - I have 16 books identified for re-homing which is very good for me. Just need to actually get them out of the house.....:o

greenbee - sorry I don't think I explained very well.

I washed the sheets last week on their own and dried them on their own.

Then I washed the sleepsuits today and they have purple marks on them - OH's bed top is slightly dyed from him wearing it in bed so I don't know if the sleepsuits have purple on them from Jack being in our bed and the colour transferring OR if some of the dye is still in the WM or TD and is continuing to dye stuff. I hadn't really noticed on the stuff I've washed in the week because it's been mainly dark. :(
In that case it's most likely to be from being in contact with the bedding rather than in the machine. I'd give them a couple more washes (on a long cycle, with extra water in the rinse if you have it as an option) to make sure that excess dye is completely removed.

Well done. Hope the boys are behaving now...

DW emptied, washing up done, water removed. Filters cleaned. Don't think I can get to the pump though...

Heating STILL not right. Boiler keeps locking out, so I think that the water going back into it might be too hot. It does eventually turn itself back on, once the radiators have completely cooled down. I've got them all, and the room stat on full at the moment. I guess I'll have to ring BG tomorrow and get them to come round. What's annoying me is that although it was a bit noisy when I came back for Christmas, and for some reason my bedroom radiator (which is on low) kept getting very hot first thing in the morning, it was working fine till the builders were here, so I do wonder whether they fiddled with anything as they probably wanted the house warmer (and for longer) than I have it set for...

Thank you, that is really lovely of you.

My dad lives in West Sussex (HH) so i will be staying with him - called him tonight and he is more than willing (he and mum were divorced about 30 years ago; both have new husband/wife).

Spoke to Doctor and the urgency is not as bad as i thought. She is awake and sitting up and talking. Apparently they just needed her in ICU because the equipment there is easier to get at; they are not expecting her to get worse just yet (hopefully not at all), so i can drive down in a leisurely way tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks for all the thoughts everyone; you are all stars.

big hugs ruth, glad she is better than you expected

Hormones must be making the rounds, then ;). DH has said that he is not going out Wed - Fri next week  (this is unheard of and due to shortage of funds), so guess what he'll be doing instead. :D He may never stay in again after that, but it'll be worth it.[/QUOTE]

OK... so I can get to the pump on the DW if I remove the cover and can then clean it out. I suspect that's where the problem is, as there was a lemon pip floating around inside the filter, so one may have got into the pump. BUT I need a special screwdriver  which of course I don't have and it's now too late to do anything about it.

Still... I'm getting closer... Pity about the state of the house and the VAST pile of ironing that still needs doing... and the biscuits I'm eating to distract myself from the fact that I'm so fed up with everything...

Kalojac - Hope your Gran passes peacefully.

Today I've just tidied round and done a load of washing.

Went to DD2's for our lunch. It's such a treat to have someone else cook, that hardly ever happens for me. I do feel sleepy now. It must be tiring not doing anything.......I did wash up though.

    Still catching up.

You are going to make him do pigpen's lists!!?? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Unless he comes up with a suitable alternative (lots of little repair jobs need doing around the house - oh, and the kitchen could do with a fresh coat of paint), that's definitely what I'm hoping to do. He's not just going to sit there watching telly while I'm working. :D
