I've cleared my ironing basket, put it all away and sorted about 6 billion odd socks:eek:. The basket was almost full of socks, now the drawers are bulging with them. I was going to buy Ds2 new socks as he only had 1 pair in his drawer this morning.:cool:0

I am venting on here before I inflict serious injury on someone. SS1 has been stripping wallpaper in the littles BR - paid by us to do so. I can't get the beds out so I dust sheeted everything and left him to it. DS2 appeared with one of the dust sheets, got told by me why he must not touch them and I put it back and checked it was all still covered. SS1 has stripped everything and henry'ed the flaky mouldy bits from the ceiling. Great, but at some point my stupid annoying children went up stairs, bounced on their beds, removed the dust sheets and he carried on without telling me or sorting it. Their beds, bedding, toy boxes etc are now full of mould spores, flaky old paint, dust and bits of wall paper. I have no choice but to strip the whole room and deep clean it - before the boys can go to bed. DH and SS1 went out before I realised so I am stuck with the whole nasty job whilst watching that the boys do not destroy anything else.
Littles are 5 and 6 - old enough to know better. Not big enough to be any use helping to clean up. I have no clean bedding available for them, and the WM is already on with other stuff in.
I am now going to give up and cry until I am sick - or for 2 minutes till I pull myself together and crack on with it. No one else is going to sort it, so I just have to crack on.

ooh I'm on a roll.. I will be so shattered later lol
Wm x2
TD x1
5 loads folded and put away
DW unloaded and half filled.. third lot today!!
Children tasked with clearing the back room... DD1 in charge and bossing quite nicely.. I taught her well!
Everyone apart from me washed and scrubbed!
I have half filled a binbag for charity shop
I collapsed with a cuppa...
MUST move derriere!!.. Might go make more tea.. and think about dinner...
Stuff has been moved from in front of the radiator inthe back room so I canget in there and move the airer to in front of it and hopefully stuff will dry quickly on there rather than taking forever!
Hex.. make them help.. they can strip beds and vacuum.. or they have a total tv/console ban until you've got it done. My 5 year old is helping clean.. and we have poo!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hormones must be making the rounds, then
. DH has said that he is not going out Wed - Fri next week  (this is unheard of and due to shortage of funds), so guess what he'll be doing instead.
He may never stay in again after that, but it'll be worth it.

Am really  though. I bought new bedding for our bed, a lovely dark purple. Washed and dried it before I put it on so it was all fluffy.
Just taken some of sleepsuits out the machine and they have purple stains on them!!!
Not sure if it's WM or TD or just where he's been in our bed and rubbed on the duvet. Now have a white Muslin in the machine to wash and then dry - process of elimination. Am hoping it's just where he has been lying on our bed otherwise I will hit the roof.
Not got the receipt (didn't think I'd need it!) but is it worth a complaint?
Was from B&M
I've managed to remove the access panel and get to my stopcock (why make a removable panel and then put a nail through the bottom???), so it is FINALLY fully open which should improve water pressure to the boiler. Fingers crossed that deals with the problem.
I've washed up everything from the bottom of the DW, so need to dry it and put it away, then do the top and THEN get the water out of the bottom so I can remove and clean the pump. Even more bits are crossed that the DW will then miraculously start working as I really can't cope when it isn't.
As I got home too late for the farm shop last night, I've braved the supermarket... and as usual have more food than will fit in the freezer. So need to clean the fridge, redo the meal plan and repack the freezer.
Off to close the windows and think about balancing the radiators...0
