Do you mind me asking how she is price-wise? I've only had one quote so far from a florist and was really shocked at how expensive she was

Try www.distinctivepetals.co.uk for flowers, she's Witney based and doing my wedding in August. She's on Facebook as well if you want to see loads of her previous work :-)

  • Thank you Mrs Moore To Be, they look fantastic and will def be receiving a phonecall from me!!

Tiara, I've got a max budget of £1000, but am trying to be as MSE as I can (although I realise there is usually a trade off between price and quality)

Thanks ab7167, they also look fantastic and our venue is one of the featured ones as well :j

Well the one I had was less than £1000 so def under budget :-) He does get booked up quick. Some of his pics are on my wedding thread.

I can reccomend a make up lady that will travel and is v. cheap and free trial?

I would recommend Neil Hanson, his website is here
He had the best portfolio of any of the photographers we saw (and we saw loads!), and he is based very near to Witney. I would suggest asking to meet up and have a look through his wedding albums- he has dozens of complete albums which gave us a really good feel for his work.

I would 2nd having a look at any photographers photos. That way you get a real feel for their style. We saw 2 before we decided and with one they showed us albums and the other showed us albums and a slide show of some others x

Oh and btw check about copyright, a lot of photographers will hold the copyright and charge you for reproducing

With ours he gave us the copyright so we can reproduce and sent to others and post online as much as we like x

I will definitely be getting more quotes- just need to finalise exactly what we want first! I always thought they would charge roughly the same for florists but clearly I was very wrong!

Ill PM you her details. She is £65 for bridal make up on the day. She was amazing at keeping us all calm (she did my BM's too) and relaxed.

She offers a free trial. She said that people shouldnt have to pay for a trial as you dont know if you will like it. I agreed! Was not sure to start with but I now know thats because she is good she is obv confident you will book. Plus there was no pressure to book. We had our trial and then she packed up and said have a think about it and let me know etc.

    LOVELY! x
