  • Hi sorry its taken a while to reply been running around with work for the last couple of days.

Yes we got the quote - very reasonable! Although it is really difficult to decide between d shaped and court shaped - H2b and I simply cannot decide! We will deffo go with Gavin to make our rings, just need to see my mum now to get any old gold off her.

Obviously we havent had our rings yet, but I would definately recommend going to see Gavin Mack as getting the rings made is much cheaper than getting one from the shops, and much more personal knowing it was made specially for you and he is a really lovely bloke too!:T

Also thanks for the PM Primmer, havent had a chance to contact them yet, been busy trying to sort our Ceili bands!!! Have booked our guitarist for the ceremony and breakfast though - he is AMAZING!!!! :D

Ooooo this Gavin sounds reasonable, don't think he would come out to where we live for a meeting though :(

    Where do you live?

He didn't come to us, we went round to his house (but H2b did go to school with him so knows him!)

OOOH my parents arent far from you!!!!

haha it is prob a bit far though! You could always make the trip over to Banbury, its about an hours drive I reckon!

You could always contact Gaving by phone, if you know exactly what you want (ie ring size, metal type, ring shape etc) and get himto quote you then see if it is worth the trip to Banbury!

There is a goldsmith in witney if thats any help. I think shivenham is about halfway in between? I remember a friend getting a ring made as a present there a few years ago and being really pleased. They have a website here
http://www.kingsgold.co.uk/index.htm Might be worth a call if nothing else.

  • Hey Oxfordshire girlies!

Does anyone have any recommendations for chair covers in Oxfordshire? They seem to vary in price massively and I am a bit overwhelmed!
  • Banbury Bride, where is it your getting married again? We used one from Basingstoke and they will travel but I cant remember where you decided on? x
