Getting married in Oxfordshire

  • Does anyone know of any good cheap venues in the Banbury area?

Depends on your meaning of "Cheap"

Cherwell Edge Golf Club is reasonable, came in at around £4,000 for 75 daytime guests and 150 evening guests.

I got married at Ryehill golf club, milcombe, not quite as cheap but the views and surrounding areas were gorgeous

The Hotel in the Village I live in does a really good package, including Wedding Cake, plus it guarantees exclusive use of the Hotel/bar etc, and they have great rooms if you have people travelling.

    And no I don't get a cut.

We have booked to have our reception at Ryehill!! I am so excited, the minute we turned into the drive way and you see the stunning view - it took my breath away and knew there and then that I wanted to book it! Lucky the inside is lovely too!!!

Any tips on getting the best out of Ryehill!!

I did look at Cherwell edge, but they were trying to charge more on the quotes that in the brochure! I gave up in the end - glad I did now as I love our venue! :D

just don't be afraid to ask I found...

However I'm now a little confused by your original post, where you asked if anyone knew of any cheap venues? What are you left looking for??

Nothing now venue wise!! We were on a super tight budget and struggling as all the less expensive places we wanted like General Foods in the town etc were booked on our date but our budget changed so we went for Rye hill as it is stunning!

Did u speak to Harry?? He was the one who showed us round, when I went to pay the deposit and sign the T&C the woman behind the desk said she had her wedding there as she couldn't think of anywhere else they would want it, which I think says a lot if the staff want to get married where they work!!
