Oh bognor I am going tomorrow, wonder if I will get any till spills, will report back tomorrow !

My points are over the 9,500 mark now so a nice tidy sum again in August, plus the extras on my other 3 clubcards.

RE: Till spills vouchers I have sold them on ebay and bought them and I have had no problems at all using them.

I spent £30 and got a 250 points when you spent £10 on clothes. Free clothes!

Good point - was everyone's till spills the same today ? or are they geared towards what you purchase ?

You can also use personalised extra-points vouchers (with a stranger's name on) with any clubcard if you're a bit brazen like me.

I got married and changed my name on my Clubcard before spending my personalised points vouchers. The till assistant refused to accept them as the vouchers were printed with Miss Maiden, while my Clubcard said Mrs Married.

She called a supervisor over who said I couldn't use them either. Luckily I had my debit card in my married name and my credit card still as my maiden name, so I could prove I was the owner of both names. They accepted them then!
Here I go again on my own....

Typical women till-operators, much too nosy! Thing is, I know if I worked on a till at Tesco I would spot such things too as it must be sooooo boring just scanning stuff all day. I'm sure I wouldn't be horrid to customers though, like myself, Welsh-Dragon and others have experienced on occasions.

I never got the multiple surnames queried all the time I went to young lads on the tills. Yes, you've guessed it, the person that did query it - only the once mind - was female!

In the past, I have seen them come out of the till, yet I haven't been given them.

Oh to be a checkout chick !!!

Yes, this happened to me once. You always have to watch the till carefully when it prints your receipt, as the till operator can sometimes snatch the voucher, screw it up and throw it in the bin under the till. It can happen in the blink of an eye! (I presume they think they're doing you a favour as they regard the till spits as junk mail). If this happens you have to politely tell the till operator that you do want the voucher.

I got a till spit on a self service till too. First time ever and I use them 20 plus times a week. Something has changed :-)

This is great news, I always use the SS tills, for ease of use on coupons.

I don't think they're the same. I got one for 100 points for the Daily Telegraph (which costs, I dunno, 60p?) - I never buy the Telegraph, but have used my fair share of money-off vouchers for it ;)

My second till spit was for 50 points when spending over £2 on Tesco frozen gateaux - must be my misprice purchases that triggered that one off! :rotfl:

I have noticed it before that it's small spends in Tesco that tend to get a till spit, but this Monday theory is new. :)

They probably finish their shift, retrieve all the till spits they haven't handed out, then use them for themselves ;)
