'Morrisons Mortgages'.
That does have a certain ring to it, no?0 -
Hmm £999 is no bargain. My local estate agent (Little Pigs.net) do fixed priced estate agency of £1000 no matter how much the place you are selling is worth. You'd get everything detailed below for £1 more than Tesco.
Providing a traditional estate agency service including valuations, creating accurate sales details and photos, accompanied viewings
and sales negotiations.
From initial inquiry to selling your property we are here to save you money.
- Accompanied viewings
- No sale - No fee
- No contract
- Using the power of Rightmove
- Constant feedback on internet viewings
- Attractive sale board
- Traditional service
- Flat fee £1000

Sorry, I gotcha now.
adg1 was making the point about higher fees on higher value houses, that ;
"Think of other costs - floorplans are larger, EPCs, HIPS take longer for bigger houses, there will be more photos"
Down my way, the low-value flats and houses are in town, and the EAs could often walk to them for viewings etc. Those over £250k are tyoically out of town, in the country, and will require more expense to get to.0 -

Do they have an office or are they internet based?
ETA.....sorry just looked at their website to see they are internet only. Their HIPs are expensive! My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to sayIgnore......check!0 -

£299+vat is pretty common in the 'big smoke'. I'd have thought outside london things would be cheaper. Maybe they don't instruct many HIPs for their contractor so don't get a good rate for them?0 -
My goodness things are heating up.
Only been gone a day and lots to catch up with.
Does anybody think it would be a good idea to invite some estate agents and fixed price property people on to thread to give us a clearer picture and maybe a qualified opinion of each other.0 -

If you read the thread, you'll notice that there are some well respected agents already posting here...
Indeed one of which has experience of both percentage and fixed fee selling.0 -
