ooro wrote:Just got a weird letter from Chicago Town Pzza saying I did not include the bar code - I'm sure that I did - although obviously the rest of the pakaging is in the bin a long time ago how should I deal with this?
I'm tempted to send it all back with the letter telling them that they must have lost the bar code - I cant help thinking that they have gone out of their way to make certain that I'm not well disposed towards them in the futrre.
Is there some way I could be scamming them by having the form and a till recipt buit not the bar code? If there is it must be quite obscure. Why would they do this? I only tried the Pizza because of the offer and it wasn't as good as a takeaway .... Argh sorry for the rant but honestly how stupid is this?
I for one will be avoiding CHICAGO TOWN PIZZA from now on.0 -
I'm thinking of scanning/photocopying all TMF applications before mailing them off just in case of dispute now. How pathetic of Chicago Town to take the time to return an application instead of simply processing it? Maybe CS are unofficially told to deal with only a certain amount of claims? Who knows.....?

Just got my Sloer from Tesco Hatfield. They had 2 flavours the white grape and the white grape mango and passionfruit. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Just had my aquafresh cheque. I sent off for toothpaste and toothbrush together and not sure which they have paid me for as I did not make a note of the amounts - I got £2.72 which includes postage. The letter says
"We regret that Aquafresh Extreme Clean toothpaste (tooth & tongue brush) did not make your tongue feel cleaner. Please find enclosed a full refund for your purchase plus postage".
Just looked back at thread and see that I brought paste at 2 for £3 reg price £2.13 so guess I have only been refunded for either brush or paste, wish I had made that note or sent them separate! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Found a new (very generous!) TMF on Actimel yoghurt drink.
Enjoy a month of Actimel for free!
You need to send the application form from promotional packs, your till receipts (dated between 26/12 and 28/02), and 'pack size areas' from the sleeves (these are like tokens, with dotted lines around them, on promotional packs). You'll then receive your money back, plus second class postage.
Depending on the combination of pack sizes that you buy, your application must be for a minimum of 28 bottles, and a maximum of 36 bottles.
So, for example, the 12-packs are £3.79 at Sainsbury's at the moment (where I bought a promotional pack today... before reading the small print that receipts are only valid from 26/12  ) - so you could get a refund on 3 of these (=36 bottles), worth £11.37 plus postage.
One application per household. Closes 28/02/07. The offer was on all varieties of 12-packs at my local store, but the small print seems to suggest that it'll turn up on all pack sizes eventually. Let's hope that such a generous TMF to start the New Year is a good sign for 2007!!0 -

Now THIS is an offer that I just cannot pass by! I received vouchers from Sainsbury £2 off on a £20 shopping spend (one per week), still three to be used. So will use this voucher tomorrow for this week, and will buy a pack of Actimel which I find fairly good anyway. Then I'll get my nectar points on the shopping, and then when I have the required Actimel tokens etc, I'll send them off.
Not bad, smid29m, cheers :beer:Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
