viktory, we get a fair amount of people that are intentionally committing fraud/ play the system on here, but even if the OP has messed up to this point, they are trying to sort things out now. We can either help them in addressing what they have done, or we can belittle them and give them no help. Which one do you think will be more productive for everyone?
confusedandconfused, has the second property got any equity in it? I still can't think how it would affect your entitlement to SMI, but that's probably because I've got a cracking (wine induced) headache! I'm sure someone will be along soon who knows the answer.
elektra-2007, the OP is claiming ESA, and has therefore been deemed unfit for work.Gone ... or have I?0 -

Thanks again.
There is no equity in the property, I think it is propably in negative equity.
Hope the headache gets better soon.0 -

17. How is a second house/property treated? The value of the property will be ignored altogether in certain rare cases such as where it is occupied by a relative who is incapacitated or age 60 plus. Otherwise, whether let out, used as a holiday home, or unoccupied, it will be regarded as a capital resource and reduce the client's means-tested entitlement accordingly. The value of the property will be taken into account less any mortgage secured on it and 10% for the costs of sale.0 -
