Well done loopychriss on your weight loss :T:T:T i'll update the 1st post on the 19th March. It's good you can control your diabetes with diet and exercise and that you don't have to take tablets.
I'm quite looking forward to weighing in the morning, hopefully my hard work should have paid off. I gave a size 20 cardigan awaytoday as it was too big for me :j.
End of day 7 - I've used 25/25 points allowance and done 30 mins on the Wii fit earning 2.5 points.

I had one last bar of chocolate last night, have readjusted my points allowance on WW since I've put a few pounds on since I was last sticking to it rigidly (ok, I admit it I've put on 9.5 lbs:o in 3 months) so I'm off upstairs now to look out a pair of jeans that I know are hanging in the wardrobe that don't fit me, and I'm going to hang them on the outside of the door so they are there to remind me.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
Balance 19th April '07 = minus £27,640

Thank you hollyh. I'm going to stick to it this time, don't want to end up on medication for the rest of my life. Biggest wrench for me I think is giving up the savoury stuff like crisps, twiglets, etc. And I love salt....which is a no-no.
Well done on giving away the cardigan, it's a great feeling when something gets too big, isn't it? My biggest mistake in the past has been hanging on to the 'fat' clothes. Sends an unconscious message to my brain that one day I might need them again! This time as they get too big I'm getting rid so I can't put it on without having to buy new clothes.Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

iam not weighning mysef yet.. i am too scared !! although today i was able to wear my skinny jeans quite well and i did not have to fight with them.. hahaha i dont know the last time i wore them, i think i only wore them once.
So trying to keep positive.... there is more in life than money and i am managing ok at the mo.

loopychriss last time i lost weight i got rid of my clothes that were too big, then i put it all back on again and had to buy more to go on holiday.:o I'm hoping that won't happen again.:cool:

I've been out for lunch today with my Sisters and have stayed within my points allowance and i didn't buy pick & mix like i usually do afterwards. I haven't done any exercise today apart from walking aound the shops. I'm going to try and do some but OH is coming over so i don't know if i'll get the chance.

holly, you are doing quite well with your diet... i heard the word diet and i want to run away.... it is too much for me to bear.. i think the first word that i can think of it is " not allow this and that... starving" heheh... i am trying to eat healthy... i will not say i am on a diet cos somehow if i do.. i know that to proove myself that i am not.. iwill go out and get a big bar of chocolate. i am weird.
i dont have the nintendo wii anymore... so what i do it is to do some exercise , i get videos from youtube.. dancing is really fun...Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
That's what i like about the weight watchers points system. I can still eat what i like as long as i've got enough points for it, nothing's banned. If i work out the points in something bad and it's really high most of the time i won't bother eating it as i don't like to spend too much on something.:cool: This week i've had a glass of wine, a couple of after 8's, a packet of malteasers, 2 packets of crisps and been out for lunch but i haven't gone over my points once. As i can choose i don't feel deprived .0

Thank you morocha, I am determined that I will lose weight this time, I can't play at it any more, it's my health that's involved!
Congratulations on getting into your jeans. Maybe it would be best for you if you didn't weigh yourself and let your clothes be your guide. Maybe get on the scales after 3 months if your clothes are looser and have a nice surprise! I think we're (the world at large) all too concerned with ideal weights and what someone should weigh, when it's whether they are comfortable at their weight and size, and in their clothes that matters. I am 5 ft 4 ins and 15 1/2 stone, but to look at me you wouldn't think I weighed that much. I must have very heavy bones! I don't have a waist though, it goes straight from my boobs outwards and only comes in again below my pantie line! I'd love to be able to touch my toes, but I can't even see them! I'll know I've achieved something when I can find my waist again!

I'm doing a cross between the Slimming World diet and the booklet on diet and nutrition my doctor gave me, which are basically the same. It's all based on healthy eating. The doctor's booklet says that diabetics don't need a special diet, just eat a healthy diet - low fat, low sugar, high fibre. That's basically what the Slimming World diet is, and I've got all the bumph on that from when I joined a couple of years ago...
So just look at it as a new healthy lifestyle... not a diet. You can have a bar of chocolate if you fancy one... just not every day!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing
