Most of Seven FMs shows don't even come from Ballymena, which is ironic given that they were granted their licence by OFCOM on the basis that they would be a local station for local people...
Oooh, I didn't know that. They used to sometimes mention something about broadcasting from the Woodside Road, so I took them at their word! I had noticed that most of the time they are perfectly synchorinised with Six FM, the sound of Mid-Ulster, as I believe they like to call themselves. Which did make me wonder, because you can hardly be the sound of Ballymena and the sound of Mid Ulster !
For all that I keep talking about them here, I rarely listen to them, their playlist is too atrocious. But it does have a certain comedy value......From what I can hear, every commercial radio DJ in Northern Ireland has been manufactured in a test tube with a genetically engineered fake American accent. I'm a Radio Five Live/Radio 4 kinda gal myself.0 -
U105 isn't bad except when that annoying doss Carolyn Stewart comes on, it gets switched straight off. How anyone can enjoy listening to her is beyond me.0

See, this is the thing, maybe a fault on my side, I thought we only a few stations but it seems there are many, explains why I pick up all these others as I drive around.

Think I'm getting old!
From 6.30am I listen to classic FM, by 12 noon I am on Radio 3 for composer of the week, then Radio 4 at 2.15pm for the afternoon play, then back to Classic FM until I switch off!!!
I used to listen to Cool FM but find the presenters all shout now and some of the music is awful.. Told you I am getting old!!0 -

Not at all, I hate shouty presenters and fake put-on accents so I also avoid Cool FM like the plague!!! And I am a young whippersnapper. :rotfl:
I like a bit of Classic FM myself the odd time, right now I am tuned into the lovely ((((Wendy Austin)))) on Talkback.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Sonia Mac must make coolfm thousands with her constant chime of text me on 8123659 to tell me the last time you had a cup of tea/shout out to all your chav mates/vote for tonights top ten (which seem to be the same top ten off their playlist rearranged in a different order)/any other bit of drivel i can think of that'll make halfwits with more money than sense test in.
The OH listens to gerry ryan on rte2 and i'm never quite sure if he's taking the P out of the people phoning in0
