GfK don't work like that. You only see jobs in your immediate postcode area and even then you cannot define that area.
the more desperate they get for the jobs to be taken the larger area you can see. sometimes i can only see jobs a few miles then weeks later i can see them over 30 miles away (banks spring to mind) i always get those jobs in your area and none actually are! if there are any on the email you want to do there is normally contact details that you can respond to and tell them and they will give you it.
quiet week ahead, just an audit tomorrow and two surveys to finish. managed to beat my target this month so happy to have a little rest! :T:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -

Can anyone offer me some advice please?
A query has flagged up on an assignment I have done for RE. However, when I go to answer in 'your reply' and click submit I am getting an error message which says 'please check your reply'. Am I doing something wrong? or is the website being funny?
I have emailed RE about it, but as its the weekend not sure if they will reply.
Thanks x
I rest my case.Clique member no 1.:D0 -

Recently with GFK I never see anything local at all so not done any work for them in a while. Well done at beating your monthly target and enjoy the rest!0 -

I've just gone on their dreaded website and accepted a job from them for the first time in 12 months. This is a reimbursement only job for a store that I have never entered in my life. "Why?" you are all wondering...
Well....I am going to time exactly how long this load of rubbish takes me, starting with perusing the briefing notes and accepting the assignment and setting the date (3.45 minutes).
I'll let you know how I get on. It's Monday. Stay tuned!
Thanks mysterious girl actually it would be interesting if someone did a time and motion breakdown of an RE job.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
Hollypear, tbh I do think you're being both unfair and a little cruel tonight, in fact for a while now, not like you of old at all!
I suspect millie was feeling a little thin skinned after the heated entry to the threads last night, and I'd like to think that she can read back and realise that noone was intentionally picking on her over the RE stuff, if the jobs are worth it to her then theyre worth it to her regardless of our opinions of the company. But the petty squabbles are getting to be a frankly disgusting feature of this formerly friendly and helpful thread and I for one am getting fed up of reading it. These last few weeks I've seriously considered quitting the thread completely, but I hang around in hope that it'll get back to the friendly place it used to be.
I have no idea why factions and cliques seem to be occurring nor do I particularly 'get' why newbies* to the thread feel the need to wade in and inflame things further. This place thrives on those who have been doing this a while helping new shoppers but right now I simply cant see why anyone would want to come here for help and that really disappoints me, I'd have been lost without these threads when I was thinking about starting but right now am actually ashamed to be a part of it all.
*new posters as I'm sure many have been reading it for a whileIt’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I couldn't agree more scubaangel. Now I know more about ms-ing (well more than this time last year anyway!) I like to be able to help others but I have stayed away from this thread for 10 days only to come back and find things worse than when I left. If people who want to help others stay away there will be no point to this thread as there will not be anyone to help when someone has a query.
I am also ashamed to be posting on a thread with this sort of abuse; no particular posts but if everyone was to read through the last week from an objective perspective they might realise how truly spiteful it is in here at the moment.0 -
If I was to actually do the reports when I got in, my 'wage' would be OK, the fact that I have managed to faff, doze off, watch TV, in fact anything other than do the report, means that minimum wage would actually be optimistic!
When I first started MS'ing, I would take any job, with any company, but as time goes on, I have got wiser to which jobs I want to take, not only for the fees, but also down to preference. For instance, I could earn nicely just from the bank visits on GFK but I find them soooo boring I only do them if I get a phone call and increased fee. I do a few different shops from RE, yes the reports are long winded, but very easy, and if the shops suits either my needs, or fits in with the rest of my day, then who can tell me I am wrong to accept them?
Lay off the blue smarties people, and have a good weekend. X0
