Made a really stupid mistake yesterday. Last job of the day, in a hurry to get home. Bookies visit. Only as finishing the questionnaire did the alarm bells start ringing. Yep, I did the wrong bookies. Hadn't checked the address properly and it turns out there's another one, of the same brand, on the next block. Aaaaaaaagh!!
I did even worse. Only once have I done a bookies. Did the report etc. Then didn't get paid and queried why. Oh they said you went to the wrong one. Doh. Annoying isn't it.
But it is all too easy to look at briefing notes and go ...Oh yes that is the one at the bootom of the High st....forgetting there is one at the other end.
I did a red grocery shop for Gap last week. There is 2 on the same block only 2 doors from each other. Then had to do the 2nd the next week.Clique member no 1.:D0 -
Thanks Hollypear, found it at last! Turned out I hadn't done the mock website assessment which took me over an hour to do last night. Hopefully they will like it. Maybe then I will see some jobs!0

Thats exactly what I did. It was a low number, so I just walked round the corner and went in. But the numbers run from the other direction.
It's the next town along, so if they want me to revisit, it's not a problem. Just a wee lesson to be learned for all my fellow newbies. Dont just see the name and assume thats your shop. Check the numbers.0 -
So far i'm enjoying MSing but i'm still learning and getting a feel for things. The most frustrating company to work for is Gyp. I've done a fair no of jobs for them but have no idea if i'm meeting their standards.
The other companies i work for either allow me to invoice once the work has been accepted, or they show payments due on the account, or they even send the occasional email giving feedback. But with Gyp it's like working in a vacuum. If you do b@lls-up a job do they get onto you right away, or do you only find out after payday when your money isn't there! Any advice from Gyp old-timers?
Thanks in advance for any info

You don't get feedback so it is a case of no news is good news. They will send you an email querying things though. Like timings for burger places. You get a clue when you submit the report...sometimes the results received email says you results have been put in a pending database.Ofter though you hear nothing.
I like companies like Tern who score every report you do. I did one on Fri got a score of 9. It said A very well written report. Once I got one which said well written etc and it was a pleasure to read you report.Clique member no 1.:D0 -

I think feedback is important. Positive comments reassure and negative help you to improve. However personally I dislike points out of ten. I think they are an unnecessary marker for adults. I also dislike generic comments that are sent from proof readers. Comments from a script are impersonal and become meaningless.
And this isn't sour grapes. I have good scores from such companies however I will say that the agencies that use those systems tend to be the poor payers and most distant from their shoppers. Companies that take the time to respond personally make you feel more valued.

If it was me I would put any date in so it keeps the job and then email them with Urgent and Job NUmber in the subject line of email.
If you mean you can't add any date then you will just have to email and hope for best! A problem with having automated emails!

Just had a thought! Might be worth trying a different browser.I cannot set dates on another agency site when I am in Firefox. It will only respond to Internet Explorer.0
