Made a really stupid mistake yesterday. Last job of the day, in a hurry to get home. Bookies visit. Only as finishing the questionnaire did the alarm bells start ringing. Yep, I did the wrong bookies. Hadn't checked the address properly and it turns out there's another one, of the same brand, on the next block. Aaaaaaaagh!!

I eventully spoke to someone at RE about my pics and they were OK with it. Actually confirmed what someone posted before that they hold `stock` photo`s anyway. I was slapped on the wrist for deleting the blurry image and was told I should`ve used that one!
Anyway thanks to all of you who have supported my initiative in my moment of panic :o and I am very happy to offer help, in any form, and advice to those who may need it in the future!
I have been a mystery shopper for a long, long time back in the old days when reports were done on paper and I don`t think I would have survived this long if I "falsified" reports as I was accused of by someone who does not know my track record with the companies.
I love this thread and the continued advise and support it offers to us oldies and newbies alike.
It is like any family, different ages, sexes, ego`s so there will be bickering and squabbles but were are all here for the same reason......to earn a crust.......or a sarnie in my instance.
    Thanks, I feel better now:T

Glad its sorted for you,:T:T:T:T which of us has not been in the same or similiar situation :eek::eek::eek::eek: as you were !
The majority of people are keen to help cos we've all been there, & it is like any family ie some are speaking to you, & some are not.
I for 1 didn't think you were trying to falsify anything, its the 'mindless few' who are ready to jump in on the 'high moral mystery shopping grounds':mad::mad::mad::mad:
    Regards

ETA - anyone know if doing Mystery shopping affects your SMP? Can't seem to find a definitive answer online!

You can earn as much as you like from self employment without it affecting your SMP.

If you claim Maternity Allowance, you can't do any work at all, be that employed or self employed work.
Here I go again on my own....

Did the same last week whoops. Going to do the correct location on Monday. Still not quite sure where there's a need for two of the same bookies fifty yards from one another... Would be helpful if they had the store number displayed in the window!!

Just sat watching a burger cabaret... It never fails to amaze me that they think handing balloons out will make them score higher... Now if they offered to wash my car while I ate said greasy burger that might sway things :rotfl:

    Hi all

Has anyone had a problem submitting to RE. I wrote the report , downloaded the photo of store and one of receipt but cannot submit . Keep getting the response that I need to download images but they are both clearly showing.
Have phoned and emailed RE but being the weekend no reply.

Just want it sorted now as I have a very busy day on Monday and wont have time to deal with it then.

Sometimes I think it would be better to conduct a MS visit with a child as you are less likely to stand out, but I do see why they say no children from some visits as the level of detail they can sometimes ask is silly. Sometimes they are asking the wrong questions, with some pub visits the food is disgusting over microwaved etc yet all they want to know is how long you waited etc. I only take the kids when told.

Quiet MS day today none booked and only 2 tomorrow. Zzzzz

Is anyone else getting a lot of proofreading enquiries from RE and having to resubmit receipts.

It is doing my head in as the files I have already sent them are readable!

    Cheers Paul

Paul I am not the one to ask. RE infuriate me. I have done 1 job in over a year. For the low fees they offer I don't it is worthwhile doing anything for them. The ridiculous questionnaires with zillions of comments. I think they employed Mickey Mouse as their IT consultant.

They even make GYP look professional.
I used to do the odd pub. Practically all I did for them. But at least once you got a nice cocktail. Now it is a crappy beer or wine.

You can go buy a bottle of wine for less than the fee and no reports hassle.

Sorry I am not much help.

Were it me I would contact them by email and say job not done cos your software is crap. Sorry I know that doesn't help but I have never ever on here seen a solution to the problem with RE.

The one and only job I did was a music one. It asked about queues. I ticked the N/A there were no queues. Up came a comment box...so I got mad and typed What part of No queues don't you understand. Never heard anything more. And got paid.

Never had that problem but I have found the RE website won't work properly unless I am using Firefox.

... and the job brief and questionnaire would be handy displayed in the window! :rotfl:

Over my many years, I have on occasions left my paperwork at home and had to go back for it. Not too many times, admittedly, but when you've travelled many miles it can be a bit of a bind! On two occasions, I phoned allocators and admitted faux pas (kind people gave me prompts). Could never do that with the likes of Gyp, though.

P.S. Does anyone else get really annoyed by shopping streets (and also shopping centres) that have absolutely no building/unit numbers displayed? I must use a lot of shoe leather walking the entire length of some roads only to discover that I needed the other end. Just a few numbers here and there gives a bit of a clue! It does make me wonder how courier companies and the suchlike cope.
