    Evening all

Love and hugs to those who are sad or poorly.

I'm very late posting today, got up to fog and a thick frost this morning, but eventually the fog cleared but it's stayed very cold.

Had very nice pork chops, mash, veg and gravy for dinner last night, and tonight we had fish, jacket potatoes, and either baked beans, veg or salad. Boys and myself had check-ups at the dentist today - we all got a clean bill of health, although I had a scale and clean. We then went to see my friend who had a baby girl on Sat night, she's absolutely gorgeous although her mum had quite a difficult time and is still in pain (stitches etc) but she's a toughie and is thrilled with her daughter as we were all convinced it was a boy! When we left hers to come home it had started to rain which then turned to sleet, when we got home I was busy and l looked out of the window to see about 2 inches of snow had fallen and settled, it has stopped now but a weather warning had been put out for this area tonight - hope it won't be too bad in the morning.

Have done a shopping list for tomorrow, so will do the shopping after I've been to the bank and then will do the baking, will make twinks, mince pies, lemon curd tarts, cup cakes and a fruit tea loaf. I made a fruit tea loaf last Saturday and it got put in the cake tin and no-one touched it until yesterday and it was still really moist and lovely.

We're going away for 1 night on Saturday morning to a belated Burns supper am looking forward to it very much as will see friends we haven't seen since Xmas and New Year and some others who we haven't seen since October/November last year - I think there will be a "few" drinks of the alcoholic variety flowing!!!

Will be getting off now as I'll fall asleep at the desk soon!

Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.
