Is there any need for some of the comments above? Some larger people do lose weight very fast at first, and some weight loss can be because people were retaining fluid at initial weigh-in.
I thought the OP simply asked where she could obtain a product cheaply - without being inundated by advice that wasn't asked for and rude comments, or queries/comments about her weight loss.
Different ways of losing weight work for different people, and most of the advice above has been repeated so many millions of times in magazines/newspapers, that I'm sure the OP has heard it all a million times before, as have most of us. I'm also fairly sure there are other areas in this forum with threads about the best way to lose weight if that's what the OP wanted advice on.
For example, if I asked where I could buy a certain brand of food cheaply for my dogs, I wouldn't be particularly interested in a load of people offering advice on what food suits THEIR dogs and which brand makes their dog break wind less, or questions about how many times my dogs go to the toilet per day on certain brands of food, (which I have actually seen elsewhere).
If people feel themselves to be so perfect as to make unpleasant comments - why don't they post some photos of themselves and we can give THEM some opinions/advice on how they look/their weight/what they should do about it. It's my experience that the nastiest people become that way because of their own insecurity/jealousy.
I have a very demanding job with a lot of foreign travel and sometimes have the coffee shakes at lunch when i don't have time to stop for a meal, or am in a location where I know I won't be able to get anything healthy easily. It's a convenient way for me to make sure I'm getting vitamins and keep my weight down, and doesn't mean that I need advice - it's an informed choice I've made.
Therefore I'd be more interested in knowing where to buy them cheaply than having to wade through pages of amateur nutritional advice.0 -
I always find that Slim fast never seems to sell in Superdrug. Last time I picked up 3 tubs of Vanilla flavour that were coming up to their "best before date" for £1.50 each.
Obviously no guarrantee it will be there, but do check out those reduced shelves.0 -

I've decided to stop looking for cheap SF - coming back to work from Tesco/Superdrug/Wilkos during lunchbreak with 18 bottles of the stuff just to cash in on the deal was just not improving the quality of my life.
Instead I've been trying the Tesco Ultra Slim. Should always be cheaper than SF.
I've found it more a tiny bit more pleasant at desk drawer temperature than SF.
Another thing that appears to be helping, is that I managed to pick up some Rocket Fuel coffee (for the first time in about 7 years). The caffeine and guarana are supposed to be appetite suppressants and it maybe coincidental, but I am not getting the problem where I would get to friday and feel like tearing into a bag of doughnuts. BTW caffeine and guarana are total no-nos for anyone with a heart condition, or high blood pressure!
Another way to curb mad hunger, that works for me, is to take a break mid-week and eat 3 "normal" meals.
I don't think that I could reduce my calorie intake for weight loss and still eat normal food and still get all the nutrients I need to be healthy.
And even when not trying to lose weight I prefer to have a meal replacement shake than buy an overpriced under-nutritional sandwich.
Each to their own!0 -
Costco Reading had 6pk Strawberry bottles £5.99, I bought 3 cases and will use them for breakfasts on-the-go.
They do have added vitamins in!I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0 -
Tesco have the 6pk's of Slimfast on offer for £5.33 a pack.
I lost weight using them 18 months ago and have managed to keep it off. I use them now and again for a few days to shrink my appetite.0 -
Slimfast £2.99 in Boots online and in store.0

Slimfast have recently been selling at £1 a bottle for the single meal size at Tesco.
I had been using the Tesco individual ones until about a month ago when SF became £2 for 2 then £1 each (makes no sense to me what the difference is to be honest, but hey ho).Signaller, author, father, carer.0
