Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!

The big tubs of powder are 2for £5 and the snacks are on offer too.

  • I've been looking for the ready mixed shakes, I just love the coffee flavour really cold. I'll try Asda, thanks everyone.

I just use these occasionally when I'm in a rush, say for breakfast, and i DO find them satisfying. Different things work for different people.

Also when I'm going clothes shopping for quite a while, I may take one, and have that instead of being tempted into a cafe where I may succumb to temptation (I have very little willpower!)

Must say I used the slimfast powder and it was not the same at all - horrible. I have most of a tub left. I tried mising it with electric whisk and adding icecbes, but was yuk.
  • they had it on the clearance in burscough for £1 from 6. its their own brand 12 servings today saturday

ok, this is NOT meant to be nasty .... before all the "you're a meanie" posters come out - I'm trying to hopefully give some advice...

Slimfast is NOT the way to do it. 99% of the people I know who have tried slimfast for a couple of weeks have noticed absolutely nothing except that we are constantly hungry!!!

Slimming world however, I'd eat bacon hashbrowns eggs for breakfast. make myself a huge bowl of coleslaw and cook a jacket potato and beans for lunch, then have a good dinner of meat, some veg etc..... I'd have mini babybel in the evening. The first weigh in I went to "you've lost 3lbs" !!!! I couldn't believe it, I'd been eating like a pig, never felt hunger at all.

Don't even go to classes! You obviously have the motivation. Just get the books off Ebay for a tenner, and away you go. I think there's even a SW support thread on MSE that you can join in and get all the help you need! I know people who have lost a stone in a month on SW!

I agree with this tbh, I'm not being horrible but once you start eating properly you will put the weight back on. I've never done SW but did lose nearly 4 stone on Weight Watchers. You could lose two stone in a couple of months following SW and WW if you did some regular exercise :)

Well the OP will have been doing slimfast for nearly a month now, would be interesting to see what she thought of it now. Maybe it was brilliant for her and just didn't work for us.

Has anyone tried the Superdrug own version of the Slimfast powder? It is a bit cheaper but am worried it might be tasteless.

Well done, but what happens when you stop substituting a meal with a drink? and seriously, do you think that average 9lbs lost a week is healthy? Just concerned about your health.
Any diet should be to re-educate your tastebuds, and you, to eat healthily. I've done WW and when I lost 12 lbs in 3 weeks they were concerned. Hope you can keep the weight off.. xx
Magic? Its all in the mind

Me? I'm as happy as Larry.

Well done OP! That's great start!

I used to do slimming world and it was not unusual for larger people to lose large amounts quickly when they first started, and then settle down once their metabolism settled into the eating plan - sorry OP I'm not saying you are massively over weight to start with, just pointing out that this sort of weight loss is unlikely to continue and I doubt that you'd expect it to.
