Orange wednesday and 3D

i'm going to stand in support of paul osborne and stand against the evil corporations and their greedy profiteering undertaken against you and yours.
reckon you should write to head office and demand compo, it's clearly affected you enough to sign up and start ranting on here. you and your daughter must be SEETHING
i reckon £5,000 will be enough to send a message that you wont stand for it, without looking greedy.
pm me if you want some advice on how to word your letter (click on my name and hit 'send a private message to brettcta').
i did the same recently with a well known italian food hut when they "accidentally" charged me for the wrong sized pizza and took nearly 3 minutes to rectify it on the bill. my 2 children were left shaking, crying and my youngest needed her mum to stay in her room with her for three nights afterwards, who herself was a hysterical mess.
i wrote to this italian food hut and received £15,000 compensation for this monstrosity after threatening them with court action. they offered me a free meal for me and mine. i saw this as nothing other than an insult to my wife and my child and am currently in the process of taking them to court for further undue stress, upset & my impending divorce as due to the stress levied on me, my wife and our child, it has meant i had no choice but to sleep with my secretary and take her out for several meals at swanky restaurants. my girlfriend found out about this and immediately moved to her mothers, where she has stayed ever since with our 3 daughters.
we must stand strong and stand united against these evil bastards before they ruin any more families like they have mine.
£15,000..is that all.......for such a shocking event. Terrible You really should go back and re work it now based on the stress of having to relive the event in public on an open forum.
On a serious note. I don't use the Orange offer but would not have been suprised to pay for 3D glasses as surely they are not part of the movie deal.

If that were to happen, make sure you leave a solicitor the full story and break down of the horror so that they are able to claim for your death also.. Sounds like the papers would love such a story " food chain claims the life of loving husband and father over midsized pizza shame"

We (DH & I) went to see it in 3D on an orange Wednesday (our first:)) & happily paid the extra.
But what REALLY p-ed me off is my DH & her DF (just got engaged:p) are members of that monthly firm club thing. They give Cineworld money EVERY month without fail & they weren't allowed to see Avatar in 3D & just pay the extra:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
What a way to reward your regulars, then Jonny come latelys like DH & I with our free orange code can:(0 -
When I went to see Avatar in 3D - admittedly not on an Orange Wednseday ticket etc. I can absolutely confirm that you don't get to keep the glasses. They're not the old flimsy type you used to get - they're actually quite substantial.
Anyway - I digress - basically it states that 3D isn't included, so therefore I think that the cinema too a very practical approach in giving credit for a standard film and only asking for the difference. Well done them I would say.
I went to see Avatar 3D & can confirm I DID keep my glasses & yes they are quite substantial.
I also did it on an orange Wednesday & got the price of 1 standard ticket off 2 3D tickets & 2 glasses. Was £11 something for 2 of us.0 -

I have a cineworld unlimited pass and have to pay an extra £1.30 if I want to go see a 3D film, I dont object to paying that once in a while to see a 3D film if its one I want to see.
My DD has this pass & was refused Avatar in 3D - they would have been happy to pay the few pound difference.0 -
the worst part about all of this is the fact that avatar was terriblehelpful tips

Unfortunately it does state in the terms and conditions that 3D isnt covered..
3.5 Subject to availability and the other provisions of the Conditions, a valid Unlimited Card entitles you to access selected Cineworld cinemas every day of the week (subject to the Cineworld cinema being open), for all film screenings open to the general public (excluding premium screenings such as Delux and 3-D screenings) and entitles you to one seat (excluding VIP seats where available) for any performance. All film showings are subject to normal restrictions in terms of cinema age certifications, and Cineworld's General Terms and Conditions apply. You have no preferential rights of access for any film or presentation. You are not entitled to use the Unlimited Card with any promotions offered by us unless otherwise stated.
However it appears to be at the cinemas discretion, I've used my unlimited card in 4 or 5 different cinemas and always been allowed to pay the extra.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

But don't you think it awful to let orange Wednesdays in (like me) but not the regulars who give them subs month in & month out???0 -
Ive been to Cineworld on 241 wednesday a couple of times, once to see a 3d film, and once an ordinary one. I think the 3d one came to about £11, including the glasses, which we got to keep, and I think its really good value!
I got to to the pictures with my mum, and then went to Ask for tea with the buy 1 get 1 for a £1 offer, and all in all we had a great evening for about £12 each. I think it was well worth the money! £12 for a great film (it was A Christmas Carol) and a lovely meal, with great company, can't be bad!:j0
